We've had a busy month...we've been to Alamo and back several times with dad and Dockie. The basement at Annette's home, looks more like an apartment now. Dad,Jeff, Gary and Aaron have worked hard on getting them a kitchen, and it's coming together really nicely! Their home in St.George is for the most part empty...they have one small amount of stuff left. It seems strange to look over there and not see either one of their vehicles....I miss them soooo much. Me and Jeff helped dad and Dockie clear out the rest of their house, they stayed with us from Sunday till Friday, we were over there every day doing more packing,putting stuff in their shed(it's filled all the way up) many loads to the D.I. and a couple of loads to the dump. They have a lot of stuff between them and stuff from earlier in their lives and collections galore. Now they just have to figure out what to do with all the "stuff" they took to Annette and Gary's home. I think it will take a while.

We get to travel to West Jordan for the blessing of little Monty (Britteny and Raymond's little girl) We will leave after work on Saturday night ,we will take Kimi with us and demon kitty,and off we'll go.We will be coming home on Monday. We will stop off at my siblings homes to drop off some stuff for them.

Tomorrow Dad and Dockie are coming to St.George and we are all going out to dinner for Dockie and Jeff's birthday, we are looking forward to it.They will pick up the last of their stuff and maybe a kitchen sink for their kitchen in Alamo.

It has rained the last couple of days and we had some good gusts of wind with it. Kimi got snow where she lives, but we didn't get any snow on our side of St.George. That's it for me this time except to say We are going to be blessed with another grandchild, our Chelle and Scott are expecting a new baby on Sept 6. Sort of an unexpected blessing but we are really happy,they just had a baby last May. Number 19 is on the way!!!!

Bring on 2012

Lets see, I'm hoping 2012 is better than 2011...I don't want to say "it can't get any worse" because it always does get worse. September and October last year were the worst month's of my life, except for maybe November of 1997 when mother died. We wanted to just crawl in a hole and stay there. But, we got through it, we had help from awesome children,and a couple of very special friends,as well as Heavenly Father, who we needed big time. All I can say is I NEVER want to go through any thing like this again for as long as I live!!!

The BEST part of our year was enjoying the arrival of 2 new beautiful granddaughters. Being able to hold them soon after their birth meant the world to us! We don't get to see them near enough, but we are blessed with 18 of the most wonderful grandchildren ever.

Thanksgiving was fun,Maxine and Mark and family came down,and we so much enjoyed having them come and visit for a few days. Mark is so good to help us out with installing our new t.v. and fixing our computer problems. We wished they could come more often! Harley really loved having them here,they played with him nonstop while they were here, he was sad when they left. We love just getting to hang out with them and sit and talk and get caught up with what's going on in their lives.

As most of you know dad and Dockie are moving, we have gone to Alamo with them a couple of times to help them get things ready for the big move. It makes me so sad, another thing that has caused me to cry and feel picked on...an d it isn't even me that's being picked on. I guess I just need to get use to the idea that they are leaving and live with it! It doesn't mean I have to like it though. Annette and Gary are awesome to let them move in their basement, I guess we'll be traveling to Alamo a lot more now. It's about the same distance as going from here to Elsinore,so when I need a family fix i guess those are the 2 closest family members I can get to,Nadine's or Annette's.

We get to start a new job this week...we are cleaning the St.George Library on Thurs,Fri, and Sat. nights. It will help us to have some extra cash to be able to do a little bit of something I guess. So the New year is starting...we were happy to get to start it off with dad and Dockie, they came over and we had dinner and played cards it was fun,dad and Jeff beat me and Dockie big time ,but it was still fun!

A trip in the fall!

I am so excited.....We are actually going to get to go camping!!! We are leaving on Sept 30 around noonish, we are going to Page Arizona, Lake Powell ,and check out the surrounding area's. We will come back Monday afternoon. We are taking our tent, and we have riged up some lounge chairs to work like cot's to sleep on,so we aren't on the ground. We aren't doing the cooking over the campfire thing, we figure we'll use grandpa's ice chest and pack some food for our daytrips that we have planned,but other than that we will do fast food. We are going in the Alero, so our space is very limited. But we are so looking forward to going! Kimi is going to watch our animals for us, so I think we are set.

I figured out how to use lds.org for scripture study,so cool, the computer reads the scripture's to me while I follow along, I can keep a journal,and underline my verse's that I want to. I think this is one of the coolest feature's ever,love it!

Dad and Dockie and Dwight, are off for a week, they went to Yellowstone, I hope they have a fabulous time. Dad and Dockie have been so stressed, and I think they need a diversion from all the problems they are going through right now. I swear my dad has got shorter and lost so much weight, I can see him aging now, and I think he needs to quit working, and just get moved to Annie's, so they don't have to worry about all the stuff that is happening.....I want to see them smile and be happy again. Annie you are the BEST to come to their aid and help them, Thank you!!

Indexing right now is such a PAIN, there is nothing that we can figure out how to do, the projects they have now are too hard to understand. The new census will be out in April, then we can go back to doing the stuff we understand. I can hardly wait. I can't figure out why they made us the Stake Indexing Leader's when we are so computer and technology challenged. We do the best we can, but it really makes our heads spin around at times.

We turned off our a.c. on the 15 of Sept, cause I refuse to run it any longer than that...the house has been a little warm this week, but it should cool down signifiantly in the next couple of weeks, anyway I hope so. We were blessed this has been the coolest summer we've had since we moved here in June of 2001, and we even got quite a bit of rain in the spring,so all in all it hasn't been to bad.

We are excited for the birth of our 18 grandchild coming in November, we can hardley wait to find out the baby's name. Brit and Ray choose the most unique names, it takes us a while to figure out how to spell them and figure out how they came to choose that name and what it signafies.

Jeff is still doing good at his job, and I'm still plugging along, our animals are all doing good, Demon kitty still keeps them all on their toe's, some day's it's a circus with all the rearranging of animals ,so they can all survive. That's it for now, I'll tell you how our camping trip went when we get back...Happy Fall every one!

September is coming!

So we have been doing okay lately ...we don't go many places,but home is a good place to be. We are finding that indexing is way harder than it use to be and not near as much fun...we are at a loss as to what to do about it.

We have several people that we dearly love going through some rough times right now, the sweet people we take to church every week, he fell and had to get stitches in his leg, later that night he complained he didn't feel well, he fainted,and because he's a rather large man, they ened up calling 911. Now he has been in the hospital for several days, then he will go to a rehab center, till he can walk and hold his own weight . Another sweet lady in our ward, one whose been having problems lifting her arms...I've been going over to her house every week now for about 6 months to roll her hair. Any way she fell also, she waited a few days to be checked at the Dr's , she banged up her leg real good it's red and swollen an the cut looks bad, when her son finally got her to go in...it turns out she has a concusion. She can't eat and can't sleep and bless her heart I feel so bad for her. She's lived in St.George for forever,she knew mother,and she's the lady that drove grandma Leany to Phoenix when Leana was born. I hate seeing all the problems these sweet people have as they age. Make's me a little nervous, we are starting to get up there in age too.

It's been a little warm here lately, but all in all it's been a mild summer. I can hardley wait for fall to arive, when it cools a little we can turn off the a.c. and open windows and air out our house and not have to pay for the high cost that it is to run the a.c. My garden this year kind of got destroyed by big honkin grasshoppers, they ate most of the tomatos and peppers, but we did get carrots.

My sweetie is still doing well at his job, strange hours, but we are adjusting. The animals are all still doing the same, Harley is such a live wire sooo much energy, Dolly is still VERY spoiled, and our 2 cats are still doing fine, they still go the rounds with Kimi's demon kitty, Kimi's other kitty is such a good cat, it's a lap cat and he's big and lovable.

Dad and Docky are having alittle bit of a rough go of late..we love them and are concerned about them , and we hope they can get some answers to some of thier issues soon, they need to have less stress in thier lives.

We are counting our blessings, we are alive and well for the most part. We are getting excited for our next grandchild to arrive in November...we can hardley wait to see what they name her,Britt and Raymond really come up with some interesting names. We hope to be able to invest in a new t.v. by the end of October. We hope that everyone is doing good..Keep Smiling!

Tired

Does any one else just get tired? I'm tired cause sleep is hard to come by for me, I never get to sleep more than an hour at a time. I'm tired of never getting to go anywhere, we are kind of stuck in a rut....we haven't been able to go camping,I miss that soooo much. Tired of never having the funds to do much of anything.Tired of wondering if we will ever get more names that our stake can do for indexing, or if we'll make the goals that have been set. Tired of hoping and wishing for all of our children to have jobs and a way to provide for thier families. Tired of wanting to be more fit...trying to figure out when I can get a grip on me to do what I need to do ,to be more healthy.Tired of trying to figure out what animals to let in the house at what time,because they don't all tolerate each other. Tired of being alone every morning until 1:30 in the afternoon,with no one to talk to ,and trying to make sure my dogs don't bark and wake up my sweetie, cause he's worked through all the early morning hours. Tired of crying cause I feel like I'm a lost cause. I miss being happy, and having friends I can talk to.

Now with all that said...I want you to know we are blessed ,we have a home, transportation, a great ward and my parents right next door. I love St.George, even though some of my children describe this town as hot as hell. I still think it's an awesome place to live, and I especially love it from Sept to June ,cause the weather is PERFECT! Being next door to Dad and Dockie makes it so we get to see my brother and sisters alot, cause they when they come to see Dad, they stop off and see us too, I love it!

I guess I'm just feeling a little down and needed to vent...I guess now I can go back to my indexing and see if there are any projects I can do!

Today is our 38th wedding Anniversary. I am so blessed to call him my eternal companion,partner,best friend,better half,husband! He is my world,I would be lost without him.We have had our up's and down's, but we always had each other, and made it through them.He makes me laugh and sometimes cry. He's supportive, and lovable,he's versitle, he sometimes has a beard, sometimes he doesn't...it goes from general conference,Oct-April beard, Apr-Oct, no beard, It's been like that our whole married life. He loves me even though through the years I have got "fluffy", he still loves me as much as ever, he stil opens doors for me ,holds my hand whenever we walk anywhere. We still argue over who loves the other one the most, we tell each other many times a day "I love you". We have 7 Awesome children,we gained 5 more through the mariages ,and 17 of the cutest granchildren ever. We are truly still happy and so much in love. We are blessed, I married the sweetest man in the whole world. Happy Anniversary my Jeff, I DO love you the MOST!!!!

Demon kitty

As you might know we have 2 cats that we really love and enjoy,Fluffy and Petal. They are great with each other,and even our dogs. Then last Feb. our daughter Kimi asked us if we would care for thier 2 cats till they found them another place to live( they are staying with Jesse's parents until their luck changes) At first they said it would be a month or two. The 2 cats they brought are Serina and Chloe. At first they stayed hidden in the middle room under the bed...it took them a couple of weeks to come out and wander around. They were both lovable at first... then something changed Chloe decided she didn't want the other cats around her(even Serena,who she's been with ever since he was born) At first she would just attack our Fluffy(fluffy is the sweetest kitty) then she started going after Petal ,Petal tried to hold her own ground but Chloe was just too mean ...pretty soon my cats just try to stay out of her way. This meant they would stay outside, they would only venture to come in when they were hungry. Soon Chloe(Demon kitty) figured out how to get outside ,she would go on the attack every time she saw them,inside or outside. We finally decided we would have to put Demon kitty in the middle room all by herself, so our other cats could come inside. Then that Demon kitty figured out how to open the door. Totally frustrated we just had to keep an eye on Demon Kitty ,and when we would hear an attack happening,we would grab her and put her in her room. Then she decided it was time to attack the dogs, ....you ought to see her run when the dogs go after her. The dogs DON'T like her now. Well a couple of days ago demon came up with another way to go after our cats... we have a doggie door, now she sits by it and waits for one of our kitties to come in that doggie door,and she runs and hits that door and it hits the cat's trying to come in. She hisses at them, and doesn't let them in. Now our cats won't use the doggie door, they meow at the front door to be let in. When Demon kitty wants out of her room and she can't get the door to open she hits the door over and over again, we try to ignore her , but at 2a.m. it really gets annoying.
Now this is our dillema Chloe when she is with you on a one to one basis...she is so lovable she head butts you and purrs and it so sweet and it's hard to believe this is the same kitty that is causing all the grief that she does. She's Kimi's kitty we love our children and grandchildren sooo much,and we want them to be able to have both their kitties when life turns around for them. It's just somewhat frustrating...and we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. I guess I just needed to vent. I feel much better now!!!

Summer is officially here, we've hit the century mark and above now. It's totally okay with me,because we had a long wet spring.I still absolutly love living in St.George,I just wish more of our family would move here!!(I know nobody can stand the heat,but it really isn't that bad)

We are headed up to Salt Lake and Boise again,we leave for Salt Lake July 2, and then onto Boise on the 3, for Echo's blessing, we are taking Kimi and Britteny with us, we are going to have a fun trip, I'm excited. We are happy that we get to see Rochelle, Scott, and that sweet little family. We are headed back to Salt Lake on Sunday night. We need to thank Shane and Anngee and family for putting me and Jeff up for 2 nights, the added plus is, it's always fun to get to visit with Shane and Anngee. And we also need to thank Brit for letting Kimi stay with her, otherwise we wouldn't be able to go all the way to Boise without thier help!

We had a technology meltdown at our house, my computer died last month ,so we got a new computer, then last week our t.v. died, the second t.v. to die in six months. Any way we got a second new computer,so me and Jeff both have good computers at the same time. Now we need to look into getting a new t.v., I'm not sure when that will happen, but we are learning to adjust to a little t.v. in our frontroom for now any way.

So I was watering my indoor plants this last week, and there is this one plant that Brit gave me a year and a half ago, it's a pretty plant that sits in a Rooster panter , it's about 2 feet tall. Any way when she gave me the plant she accidentally left the price tag on it, let's just say it wasn't cheap...so, i thought "I'm going to take such good care of this plant" I've watered it every week and made sure it got plenty of sunlight. This time when watering, a piece of the plant fell off, I was like "oh no" and I looked closer ...the plant is PLASTIC!! Crazy huh! I had convinced myself that the plant was growing, and that it was getting more red leaves. I called Brit about it, she thought it was real also...Kimi swears it's real,cause she say's it's grown. at any rate I'm going to stop watering it, we'll see if it goes brown, and i'm putting it where the sun don't shine!!! It did make me laugh though,it's a funny story, although I do feel a bit stupid!

Finally Sun and Fun

Man it seems like it was a cold spring(even for St.George)! Here it is the 3 of June and we still haven't had to turn on the A.C.,usally by now it's been over a 100 degrees and we are really warm trying to find a way to cool off.
Me and Jeff went on a little trip last weekend. We went to Elsinore on Friday. Me and Nadine and Terry and Loralee went to mother's grave and put flowers on it ,and spruced it up so it looked nice. We saw Twila while we were there, it's fun to see your cousins that you don't see too often. We spent the night at Nadine's,watched a few good movies, we had a very good meal...Nadine is so good to us. Saturday Morning we got up and went to West Jordan, we got to spend time with Shane and Anngee and family. We all went to Midvale to place flowers on Grandpa and Grandma Floyd's grave. We went back to Shane's. Later me and Anngee and Boo went to Copperton to the cemetary there, she needed to place flowers on her grandparents grave's. Then Anngee drove me around that cute little town,sooo cool I had never been there. We went back to Anngee's and we fixed dinner, and watched a movie. Shane and Anngee are good to us also. Then we got up early on Sunday morning and headed for Boise to see Chelle and Scott and family ..they welcomed a new baby to thier cute little family,and we decided we were half way to Boise when we were in Salt Lake,we might as well go see our new granddaughter Echo, she is so precious, it was great to see the Brunson family and hold that sweet little Echo. They fed us lunch,it was really good. I held Echo for a little while longer...and then we were off agin ,headed back to Shanes. We were on the road 11 hours on Sunday, we had a major case of T.B. when we were through. We got to watch another movie when we got back to Shane's. We even got to see Pat and see some picture's on the progress he's making in building his new home. We got up and Shane fixed us breakfast , they are alway's doing stuff for us. I forgot to mention we did get to see Max and Mark and family for a short visit on Sunday night. Chelle asked us if we could take Max this excersice thingy,so we did, and got to see them. Anyway, we left for Elsinore again on Monday morning. Nadine let us take a tiller, we are hopeing we can make it work for our yard. We got home about 3:30 p.m.. Thanks to our Kimi for taking such good care of our animals while we were gone, she's good to us too.
Then we were happy to get to have Annie and Gary come and see us on Tuesday night. Gary had a dr's appt early on Wednesday morning, so we were excited that they wanted to spend the night at our house We went to Chuck A Rama and ate there. Annie helped us with our computers...and we had fun visiting with them.
We had a very busy but fun week... we usally just sit around and look at each other....so this was great. We hope everone is doing good....Keep Smiling!!

My honey has been lucky enough to get to go to the Verterans clinic for some health issues he's had. The first thing that really caught their attention was Jeff's blood pressure. They asked him if he had a headache, he said no, they asked if he had been having any recently ,again he said no. They were shocked and told him his blood pressure was dangerously high. He told them he hadn't been on blood pressure pills for 3 years cause we couldn't afford to go to the doctor in order to get a perscription. They put him on blood pressure pills on the spot and gave him a perscription to get more pills, he was there 3 hours, they wouldn't let him leave until his blood pressure came down. One of the side affects of the pills is that it makes him drowsy, they also put him on some pain killer for his knee, the side affect of that pill is drowsiness also. So needless to say he is constantly falling asleep. Church has been a real struggle for him to stay awake. They ended up putting him on different pills for his blood pressure, and he quit taking the pain killers,and now he can stay awake. They also checked his ears...he's getting hearing aids, I guess it wasn't a case of selective hearing! So now he has to go back in May so they can make sure these blood pressure pills are working. And by the way his job is working out great, the extra cash is really helpful. We have had fun working in the yard , spring flowers are coming out and the grass is green. The weather has been crazy... but my garden is still growing for the most part, i have one plant that looks dead, but the rest are doing good. I love spring and I love getting to walk and enjoy the scenery. We bought a couple of dvd's Tangled, and Tron , they were both good. It's cheaper to buy the dvd's, then to go and see the movies in the theater.

Animals galore...so much fun!

So as most of you know , we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. The dog's names are Dolly, and Harley. The cat's name's are Fluffy and Petal. We have been taking care of Kimi's cats for her for a while until their situation change's and they can get them back. Her cat's names are Sirena,and Chloe. The cats are bigger than the dog's except for Chloe. This morning I went outside to water my garden ,and all the animals followed me outside. Our Harley is a ball of endless energy, he was running around the back yard going in circles so blasted fast, when all of a sudden our cat Petal decided she would attack Harley. Harley loved it ..and egged her on ,the 2 of them chased each other all around the yard. Kimi's cat Sirena decided to climb up the tree to get out of the way. Fluffy decided she would watch all the fun by me...Chloe was under the chair and attacked Fluffy...and Dolly just laid there and watched. Soooo funny...all these animals trying to coexist with each other when each one is so different from the other one. I love them all so much,and I love the way they keep me entertained. Our pet's are the best. I love sitting at the computer trying to do my indexing, with Fluffy laying right in front of my computer screen ,and Harley by my feet , trying to get me to play with him, Petal and Chloe hissing and growling at each other down the hall,Sirena on our bed asleep and Dolly on Jeff's lap in the front room both sleeping! My life would be totally boring if I didn't have all these fun animals!!!

Blogging....Why?

This is going to be the last time I blog....nobody reads them or ever leaves a comment....so I give up!
We reached our goals again for Feb., as far as indexing goes, we made it to the temple just a couple of times. We went to S.L.C., for a week to watch 3 of our grandchildren, we didn't make it that week, and when we came home the temle here was closed for cleaning, so we missed those 2 weeks. As far as me reading the Book of Mormon which I started January 3 ,I'm now to Alma chapter 32. so that's going pretty good.
Jeff's job is going well...I think it's hard getting a sleeping schedule down, but he trie's. He finds interesting things left in the bathrooms from college kids....kind of funny! They gave him t-shirts with the Dixie college logo on them and a mug, plus he now has a student body number...no discount for any coming events or stuff like that, but at 64 to have a student body number is kind of cool!
We had a great time watching Max and Mark's kids...they basically watch themselves, but it was fun to get to be with them, they are very well behaved kids,so our job was super easy! We got to see Britt and Ray and thier kids,Soren slept but the other 3 are really fun and entertaining! We got to see Shane and Anngee and thier kids, Braxton's B-day was on the 15th , so we got to go and have cake and icecream with them, we were able to see Anngee's parents also, they are great people ...and we enjoyed our visit with them. We got to see Pat for a split second...he's busy! We were able to get to watch Boo (little Shayne) for a few hours on thursday,she's so cute and we had fun with her. Max and Mark came home on Friday night the 18th, we visited with them for about 1/2 an hour,we enjoyed hearing about the fun times they had and they brought us a cool souviner from Can Cun. We left right after that because there was going to be a big storm and we wanted to beat it....we did beart it by about 15 minuts ,it started to snow when we got to this side of Cedar...so we did good.
We also got to visit our old ward while in S.L.C., It was great to see so many of our old friends....the ward is alot smaller now. Wayne and Jean took us out for lunh on Monday, we enjoyed them, we are a little envyous of them.. they left for a 2 week cruise...I think it's awesome that they get to do that kind of traveling. We miss them!
We were lucky that we got to spend some time with Nadine, Annette and Gary and Terry and Lorilee, all within the last 6 weeks, it's been fun to have them around and visit with them. Terry even fixed our computer's for us, we are glad he's so smart...because we aren't!

January recap

This month has gone pretty good. We made goals that we felt were attainable, and for the most part we are sticking to them. I don't make the goal of loosing weight cause I know if I do ..I'll just gain it back. We haven't been able to be any more frugal than we already are, so that wasn't a goal. We just try to be happy with staying home,and being with each other. We made a goal to index 150 names a day,as of now we are each at 4,650 names indexed, and we decided to go to the temple every Wednesday morning for the 8 am session, we missed one time cause I was sick.
My Jeff got a part time job at Dixie college cleaning the Gardner building, he works from 1a.m. till 7a.m. 5 days a week. He will get paid monthly. We are glad to have some extra money so maybe we can do something really fun once in a while!
We had a good time on Jeff's birthday,we went to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner, first time in a couple of years that we have been able to go out there for dinner. It was so good,Jeff got new slacks and a shirt and a tie for his Birthday from me,and he got a movie from Dad and Dockie,and the Reeves in our ward gave him a card with some money inside and he got lots of good wishes from our children, he had a great birthday.
We were able to have fun with Annie and Gary on thier visit here. We love it when family comes to see us!
Our cats and dogs are doing well... they keep us on our toes, they are our entertainment most of the time. We love them. Melinda Telford who gave us 1 dog and 1 cat, came by today to visit Jeff and wish him a belated happy birthday, they brought us twinkies and ding dongs. She loves to visit the animals and see how they are doing once in a while.We miss them and we wish they still lived next door...but at least we get to see them every now and again.

A New Beginning

Here we are in 2011,time is passing quickly. We were able to start this year off rather well, thanks to Annette, Gary and Angela and Aaron. Angela and Aaron bought our trailer,plus they did part of the payment with a car as part of the transaction. It was a great deal for us, we were able to fix our heater,that hasn't worked for over a year,so now we're warm and cozy in our home. We were able to buy a vacume, ours died 6 month's ago, we didn't know how bad our rugs were until we used a really good vacume on them,let's just say I'm really happy that this new one works so well. Then there's the car...it's a 1999 Alero it's white and looks good and runs good. Jeff is out getting new tire's on it as I'm writting this blog. We were able to let Kimi drive the Honda until thier situation improve's and she in turn brought the truck back to her dad,and he is happy to be driving the truck again. I get to dive the Alero, life is good, I hope the rest of the year keeps going as well as it started.
We had a very great Christmas. Our ward did the 12 days of Christmas for us ..they left us many wonderful gifts,we live in the best ward ever! They left a turkey on our doorstep one night,we fixed the turkey for Christmas dinner. We invited dad and Dockie and her daughter-in-law and her son(who was home on leave) . We got to see Kimi and kids,and visit with them for a while. It was a good day
We started the New Year with dad and Dockie,we played cards and had some pizza and chips and dip and goodies,chatted awhile, and at midnight we watched the fireworks. So now the holidays are over, and I'm happy to say that we had so much fun,when we thought they would be totally average, thanks for all of you being soooo good to us.

Christmas Memories

It's almost Christmas, I love this time of year! It's not the same as it was years ago when we had those mornings when we would wale up at 5 or 6 a.m. and watch our children open their gifts. There's nothing like it in the world and I so much miss those times. I miss the fun Christmas eve's we would have when the kids would open their p.j.'s and Santa would come visit them, and tell them to make sure they went to bed and go to sleep,so he could come back.
Now it's our kid's turn to do all that fun stuff. One thing I don't miss is the wrapping of all the gifts, when there is 7 children with gifts, that's alot of wrapping. I also loved taking the kids shopping to buy gifts for their brother's and sister's, the way they would pick names out of a bowl and then we would have to figure out how to seperate them when we would shop,so that they wouldn't see what they were getting each other. I remember going to Jobber's Odd Lot and be in that super crowded place and try and get to the checkers buy the gifts and get out alive, it was crazy but so much fun! So to all of you out there that are stressing and worrying about how it's ever going to come together....this is the best times of your lives and it will be fun and you'll make memories that will last a lifetime. Hi!
So this is December, the last month of 2010, this year had flown by.
We had a fun trip to S.L.C. at Thanksgiving, Maxine and Mark and family were so good to us,and we had a great time. We ate turkey and all the trimmings,soooo good. Maxine set the table with everything Chicago Bears for Mark, it was his birthday also, we even wore party hats!
Then on Friday we all went to Leana's, dad was at her house,and it was his birthday so we went to see him and wish him a happy birthday. While there we got to get to see 3 adoreable new babies, and hold them . So much fun, plus getting to see the rest of her family that was there. We got to eat some yummy birthday cake and ice cream.
Then very early on Saturday morning we got to go with Shane,Anngee,and thier children, and see them be sealed in the S.L. Temple. It was absolutely wonderful!! We were blessed to have dad and Dockie, Rochelle and Scott, Leana and Calvin,Natalie and Nathan, a couple of Shane and Anngee's bishops and Wayne Perkins. Afterwards Anngee's parents had a luncheon at Golden Corral, and they invited all the families of both Shane and Anngee's . They are such great people, we thank her parents for being so good to everyone. We are so happy that everything went so well that whole day.
We got to see our 5 children that live there in S.L. and we were so glad that all of them are doing great.
So on Sunday we headed for home. What a day. It snowed and we were on the freeway and it was like being in a parking lot!!! There were soooo many accidents and slide off's, the tow trucks had a great day I'm sure, the rest of us...not so much! We were so glad to get home....the animals were REALLY happy to see us,we had all 4 of them sleep with us.
On Monday...we slept in, and then started getting out Christmas stuff to decorate the inside of the house,we did the outside of the house before we left. Anyway the next morning when I tried to get up I couldn't move...My back was out and stayed that way till this morning. I'm so glad it's decided to let me walk and sit now.
We are looking forward to the Christmas season and love the happiness it brings. So I hope everyone has a super and happy Christmas. Keep Smiling!! See ya next year!!!

This is the Thankful Month soooo....

It's November,so ,I thought I would name some of the things I am thankful for,I am most thankful for my Heavenly Father, who without Him and His Son Jesus Christ I would have nothing. I love them,and all that they have done for me ,and made it possible for me to have an Eternal Family! I am thankful for the all time,most loving,highly tolerant and the BEST husband in the whole world...my Jeff! Then there are our7 wonderful children,thier spouses,and 16 amazing grandchildren, we are so blessed,and I love them all so very much. I have been blessed with the best parents ever,and 1 brother and 3 sisters that are so awesome, they also have great spouses and super children also. Family is VERY IMPORTANT to me, they are what make's my life worth living.
I am thankful for our home,I love that when we were both in our 50's we bought our first home. I love that we get to decorate it and paint it and do what we want with it,because it is ours. I am thankful for our car(it's UGLY but it runs). We enjoy getting to drive to places, and that we can get where we need to go. And then I'm thankful for our pets, 2 dogs and 2 cats, they are fun and give us unconditional love. We are thankful that we live in St.George....We absolutly love it here!!! We are blessed with a wonderful ward, they are like an extended family, they are the best.
We are also blessed with some really terriffic friends, we have some that we have known for40 years , some alittle less and some we've known for just a short time, at any rate, they are good people and we are happy to have them. And lately I decided I'm thankful that we have computer's, they help us keep in touch and play games and do church calling, and are generally something to help you pass time, when you're bored, as long as you use them wisely they can be quite useful!
And we are thankful we get to go to Maxine,and Mark's house for Thanksgiving, some wonderful things will be happening while we're there...I'll tell you about that in my next blog.

September was a month full of things for us to do. The first week we worked for dad and Dockie,cleaning the w.f.s. building. Then we had Kimi and Jesse and Logen visit for a few days. Then we had Rochelle, Scott and family visit for one night. Then some freinds in our ward asked us if we would like to help them , while they were gone for a week, and clean the buildings they do, so we had a couple of training nights... then we cleaned for them. It gave us some extra cash so we could order parts to turn our wood burning fireplace into a gas one. I have never ordered anything from online,so we gave it a shot...half the order came, the other half they said would come in November! I don't think i'll ever order anything else off the internet again, what a pain!!!
Kimi, Jesse, and family are back in St.George, they are renting a home behind the mall. We are so excited that they are back in St.George. They wanted to be close to his parents to help them because of their health issues, whatever the reason ,I'm just glad they are back.
On Monday Sept.27 we got news thatJeff's brother Bob was on hospise, he had any where between 2 weeks and 2 month's to live....he passed on the 29th. We went to Salt Lake for his funeral on Tuesday. We figured we couldn't stay with any of our children, they were all busy ,or moving or didn't have room for us, so, we invaded my sister Nadine in Elsinore on Monday night, cause it was half way to Salt Lake. She was so sweet to put us up on the way up there and on the way down. Thank you Nadine. The funeral went really nice, we got to see alot of Jeff's realitives,and we got to see my sweet freind Joyce. I feel like Bob went at a good time...before he got worse,and as hard as it is to have him gone, it was probably the best way for him to go. We love him and will miss him.
While we were in Salt Lake Kimi found me a cute little black pom, his name is Harley, he's one year old and super cute. He learned how to use the doggie door quick, and he is doing better with the cat's now. He was so funny when I put a leash on him...he laid down like a cat, he didn't like the leash and he wasn't going to walk with one on. I worked with him last night and little by little he was walking. This morning I had him on the leash and I thought I would see if I could get him to walk around the yard, I didn't have shoes on cause I wasn't going anywhere but, he did soooo good ,that I ended up walking him around the whole block. He's so smart, i'm happy to have an energetic ball of fluff. I love him already...thank you my Kimi!
I also need to thank dod and Dockie for cleaning w.f.s. building for us on Monday night...they traded us so we cleaned it on Wednesday night. Plus dad came over and fed our spoiled little dolly, dolly gives dad a hard time...but he's good to put up with her. Thanks dad!

Time goes by fast...even if you aren't having fun!

It hasn't even reached Sept. yet, and I'm posting a new blog!! August has been somewhat warm here, I look forward to being able to turn off the A.C. and opening windows. We should be able to do it by mid Sept. We want to turn our wood burning fireplace into a gas one. We are doing this cause it's cheaper than trying to fix our furnace that doesn't work....so if we have the gas fireplace and a space heater in our room , that should do the trick for us ,because our home is small.
Petal (the cat we got in June) has finally figured out the pet door,and goes in and out as she pleases now. She gets along great with our dog and our other cat now also,she has an anoying meow and leaves furballs where ever she goes because she is so hairy. She has some mats,we've tried everything to get them off, we think maybe we'll have to shave her. (hey girls remember when you shaved Kittan)Maybe I can get the girls to shave Petal!!
Jeff and dad went to Lander to plumb a house for a friend in the ward here,and was gone for 5 days. I was so glad when they came home. I don't enjoy being by myself for that long. Today they are up working on the Bishops cabin in the Kolob canyon area. Dad and Dockie are leaving Sunday to go on a vacation with her son Dwight...they are headed to the redwoods in California. We will clean the Workforce Services building all week for them, they should be back the following Sunday.
Kimi and Jesse and family came and spent the night last Tuesday, then left Wednesday night for Vegas, they will come back on Sat.or Sun. night and spend the night another day or two. I'm glad we are on the way to Vegas, cause we get to see our kids when they are headed to Vegas. We get Rochelle, Scott and her family in Sept. ,we can hardly wait to get to see them next.
Well I guess this is it for now, I hope everyone had a super summer..Cause i think it's almost time for Fall. Keep Smiling!!

Our Te-aH camping trip

We got to go camping last wenesday up on Cedar mountain by Navajo lake. We were happy that Nadine invited us to go with camping with her and Coy and a couple of their children. When we got close to the campsite it looked like it would soon be raining,so we hurried up and set up camp. It took us a good 2 hours to get set up. We got done before Nadine ,Coy,and Kenneth ,and Ashly got there. They got all set up and then it decided to rain,not alot ,it would rain for a few minutes and then stop. But it was all good,because it didn't have a downpour. We had fun visiting and the area is soooo pretty. The next day we decided we would go to the lake and watch those Christensens fish, me and Jeff don't like fish and we don't do the fishing thing. The lake was pretty and Kenneth and Coy got out to the middle of the lake and were fishing,Nadine was going to fish from the shore. Me and Jeff set up some chairs and were doing our word finds, when I decided I was too cold ,so we decided we would watch from the car.About 10 minutes later it started raining and there was thunder and lightning, needless to say Kenneth and Coy had to come to shore, and we went back to the campsite for lunch. We decided that on thursday night we would have dutch oven chicken at Nadines campsite,Pam came up for dinner that night. Nadine had a campfire going and we were getting ready to put the dutch ovens in the fire, it was a little rainy but not bad. Coy and Kenneth had gone back to the lake to try fishing again. Then at about 7:30 p.m. when we had everything on the fire we had our down por, then it started hailing, the fire went out everything was wet. We took our dutch oven to our campsite, and proceded to put it on our campstove to try and get it cooked. Ashly went to see if Coy and Kenneth were alright cause it had been a while since the storm had stopped. They found them they were fine wet,but fine. Meanwhile,we thought that our tent had held up pretty good to the storm. It looked like there were some blankets that got a little wet,but all in all it looked okay. We put our cover over the table back up. and got the food done, we decided to just stay at our camp cause it was to far to carry it back to Nadine's campsite. The dutch oven chicken tuned out fine...but our cherry cobbler didn't work,we ended up throwing it out. When we went to bed that night ,we discovered our blakets were soaked and there were places in the tent with puddles. I froze that night and told Jeff we needed to go home and dry everything out. So Friday morning we folded up camp and came home. Nadine and Coy and their kids stayed for another night, I hope it didn't rain on them again! Nadine said the down pour was worse then what happened at Elkhorn, she say's whenever she goes camping it rains. It's funny but it didn't start raining until Nadine got there. We loved the area and will go back there another time, but we decided we would do it next year in mid august after the rainy season is done!!!It was still fun right up until the hailstorm that brought 1/2 inch of rain in 35 minutes.My Kimi will post pictures for me on this blog a little later tonight, i'm not that smart I can't do it. Any way we still love camping and we will try again next year. Thanks Nadine for a fun time...we love ya.

37 Wonderful Years

So this last weekend we celebrated our 37 wedding anniversary. It gets you thinking of all that has happened in those years. In our first 7 years we moved 9 times.When we moved to Midvale we stayed in the same house for 21 years. We moved to St.George June 1 2001, then in Jan. 2002 we moved where we are right now. It's the first house we ever bought, we were both in our 50's crazy huh!
We've had 7 children and 2 miscarriage's in the first 9 years. Now we have 5 of the 7 married ,we have 1 daughter-in-law, and 4 sons-in-law, plus 16 of the most beautiful grandchildren ever!!!! We are sooooo blessed we love you all so much.
We've had a countless number of pets of every kind...when we left Midvale we said that if anybody dug up that yard,they would think it was a pet cemetary. I'm still a person who absolutely loves our pets, Jeff loves them too, even though he says he doesn't ,he has spoiled our dog Dolly beyond belief!
Jeff is the best husband ever...he has had to put up with me for all these years,and still a day doesn't pass that he doesn't tell me he loves me, he still opens the car door for me, he has always been a hands on dad....he has changed so many diapers in our baby day's . He's always been a good provider,even though we had a few rough spots when he couldn't find work, but we got through them. He has always honored his Priesthood and been able to give blessings when they were needed. He is just the best husband ever, I love him dearly..more with each passing day.
We've enjoyed many family camping outings when our kids were home, we don't go that often anymore and we both miss that. We are retired and money is tight ..but we still have each other,and that's what keeps us both going. We have become fans of jigsaw puzzels and watching some of those addictive t.v. programs ...like Bones, and all the csi's and Dancing with the stars. Jeff still reads ALOT, and I do facebook. All in all we are happy,and we look forward to our "golden" years together.

June is gone!

June was a month of getting things back to normal,and rearranging rooms to fit different beds. I started by cleaning out closets,lots of them,then figuring out what to put where.We had to put our 4 poster bed in the guest room, because we traded Kimi our bunk beds for her king size bed. It was a chore, but we finally got it done. We moved around the furniture around in our frontroom so we could put our couch under the window so Dolly could see outside easier. We also were able to get out my cat decorations and put them back out. Then we needed to clean out the trailer, that took one very warm day of cleaning to get everything clean and back to normal. But if I had it to do all over again I would take Kimi's family back in a heartbeat if they needed to come back again. I love them and miss them,and thier cats.
We were saddened by the news that uncle Arnold passed away early in the month of june(june 7) we will miss him We will be going to his memorial later this week, we will be going with dad and Dockie,it will be country I haven't seen before so the ride should be nice. I've heard Solvang is in pretty country.
We went to Pam's wedding in Richfield, it was a beautiful wedding, everything went off well and the Dinner was very good,and we enjoyed getting to see family. After the dinner me and Jeff headed to West Jordan,we went to Kimi's house,and we got to see our children that live in that area. We went for the purpose of seeing Jeff's brother who was in intensive care earlier in the week, he is doing better and we hope he has a speedy recovery,when he gets out of the hospital he has to go to a rehab center to help him recover better. Penny looked tired,but she seems to be doing okay, it's alot of stress, I'm sure.
Our new addition Petal is doing really good,she's adjusted to us and our home and the two other animals we have. She loves to cuddle, she talks alot,and she is soooo hairy,she leaves pieces of her hair everywhere,but she is cute and well loved. I watch our little neighbor boy next door,his name is Xave,and he loves to chase the kitties,so they go into hiding when he is around. Petal doesn't seem interested in going outside,so she is basically our only indoor cat, Dolly and fluffy go out whenever they want through the doggie door, and Petal watche's but never follows them out.
We went and saw Eclipse for my birthday ,and we both thought it was a really good movie, it's the first time we had to wait in line to see a twilight movie, but all in all it was a good time ,the people in line were freindly ,so the wait wasn't bad. I'm now in my last year of the fifties, crazy how fast time goes by. We enjoyed the fireworks on the 3rd of July , they were pretty and it wasn't to hot outside, there was a breeze so it felt nice .

We're empty nesters again!

Our sweet family of houseguests have decided to go back to thier home in West Jordan. We are missing them...and we are getting use to the "quiet".We were able to go and help them move , we did a game of switcher-roo, we traded our bunk bed and a chair for a King size bed and a lawn mower. Our trip there and back was interesting, we took Rae and 2 of thier 4 cats with us,we followed Jesse, Kim,Payton Little Jesse and Logen,and thier other 2 cats. They pulled a trailer full with all the stuff they had, plus the aquired items they have gotten since they moved to St.George. We got there( West Jordan) and they unpacked and we took a fridge to Shane's house ,then we went back to Kimi's and loaded the bed and lawn mower, and got ready to travel home. Our tarp didn't completely cover the bed, it looked like it "could" rain ,so Jesse offered us another tarp .Jeff said no it wasn't going to rain. So we headed for home, when the raindrops landed on the windshield Jeff said it doesn't count as rain unless he had to turn on the windshield wipers, the rain happened a few times, but the windshield wipers never went on.. It was a long day we got up at5:00a.m. and left St. George at 6:30 a.m., we got back to St.George at about8:30P.M. We had to put oil in Jeffs truck every 40-45 miles at 3 quarts each time ,we spent 100 dollars on just oil, we need to get his truck fixed!!!
So since we've been empty nesters again we have been rearrangeing all the rooms in our house. We had to move beds around we put the King size bed in our room and moved the 4 poster bed to the guest room. ,I think we are through with moving stuff, now we are in the process of cleaning out closets and then some drawers. I can hardly wait till everything is done...we also cleaned out the camp trailer...and got it back to normal.
So we have been blessed with another beautiful new cat. Our friends the Telfords gave us thier 1,100 dollar cat . Her name is Petal, she's gorgeous ...and she loves to talk alot like fluffy , Dolly (our dog) gets along well with both cats, the cats are not quite getting along yet, we figure it will take a few weeks, but both cats like Dolly, go figure!
On Memorial day we got to go to mDad and Dockie's for a barbecue, it was good, and fun, we don't seem to see them as much as we used to , cause they are gone so much with thier calling at the Meadows.
We finally turned on the A.C. on friday, it finally got hot like 98 degrees, it's suppose to be around the 105's for the rest of the week, so Summer is here. We are looking forward to a great summer.

Not much is going on.

Hi, This is May...can you believe it.This year is flying by! This has been a month where not much has happened. We are still doing indexing,and I have done a little with New Family Search, I think it's kind of confusing,but interesting. I think I like indexing a whole lot more!!!
Our yard has had alot of flowers blooming,it smells so pretty outside,we've had sunny wonderful weather for a day or two,then it changes to windy and cold again...It's been a roller coaster ride,but at least we haven't had to put up with the snow that many of you have had to do. This week should be nice in the 80's, I'm looking forward to it.
Kimi and Jesse and family are doing good...the girls did a hula dance, they did a super job.Kimi has been making baby blankets for the ward,she does well. She is also my visiting teaching companion. I have been so blessed Kimi keeps me company and helps me with my computer, and my cell phone,she's so gadget oriented she can figure out anything. I don't know what we are going to do when she leaves, we hope that thier home in West Jordan will sell so that they can move to St.George permantly.
The cat's are doing good Cloe (the one who got hit by a car) is doing better,she walks with a limp now,but she is making great progress. The rest of the cats are enjoying thier freedom,and they are getting big and fun to watch.
Jeff fell backwards and something snapped at the back of his knee, he has been on crutches for a couple of days, he say's it's starting to feel better...It gives him a good excuse to read and read and read,he's read 4 books this week. He also has been visiting and helping one of our families that we home teach(before he fell) and helping him with anything he might need. He's very great to help people in the ward, he's a good man,and I'm so glad he's mine!!
We are trying to go to Elkhorn in July...We haven't been camping for a long time,I can hardly wait,I love camping. We will take our tent, because our truck isn't working good enough to pull our trailer, it will still be fun, we've only been camping with our trailer once, we've used tents all our married life,so it won't be anything new!
Shane was made an Elder the first part of April,and Jeff was able to ordain him,it was a nice day, he had a brother in law and some people from our old ward in Midvale,and some people from the ward he's in now. Shane is blessed that he has such a special wife and kids that are so supportive. We thank Britt and Raymond and thier family who came and Wayne and Jean Perkins,and Randy Oliver,it was great that they could come.
I guess that's all that's going on for now,we hope that all of you are doing good. Keep Smiling!

Animal Lover?

So I need to do a post to explain whats been happening around here since Easter. Anybody that knows me knows how much I really love my animals. Since we came home from Shane and Anngee's, we have had some hard and sad experiences with our pets. Seems how the first day we went to Salt Lake my sweet George died(my pom), then when we came home we would walk dolly and I would miss george to walk...so we decided to get me another dog. We went to the Humane Society and picked out scooter(a terrier mix) We had him about a month , he loved to go for walks and he loved to play, but he was to hard on Dolly(our dog, that is George's daughter)so we had to take him back, he was adopted 3 hours after we took him back. Then for mothers day I got a kitty ,we named him Tippy. We then adopted a pom from a friend in the end of june,his name was Corky. So all our animals got along well. Tippy loved to run he was a super fast cat ,he loved outside, he would come in in the middle of the night and run all over us on the bed,meow and then run back outside, I loved that kitty sooo much. Then in October he ate or drank something that poisoned him(we think it was anifreeze from one of the neighbors), he only lived 12 hours after that. I was so sad . But I decided to put my full purpose on Corky, He was doing so good until thanksgiving, he then went blind, soon after that he went deaf, he would just go in circles,by december he to passed away. We had Kimi and Jesse and cats, and kitties moved in. I adopted one of her kitties, we thought it was a girl so we named her Precious and had so much fun with all these kitties, we later decided Precious was a boy. This kitty is so cute I have loved him so much. Well on Easter Sunday we discovered one of Kimi's cats (chloie) was not moving from the rug, Kimi went to pick her up and that's when we knew she was hurt, she yawled and cried when we moved her, we figured she had either been hit by a car or fallen off from a high place. So they decided on Monday morning they would take her to the Vet.....Monday morning came, I decided to find my cat...I went and called him ,and he didn't come, so Jeff came out to help me find him. Jeff found him....he had been hit by a car...he had been drinking water out of the gutter, he died,he was still warm Jeff said it had just happened. I can not express how sad I have been ....I MISS my kitty, I wish he could somehow come back. You would think I 'm not good with animals, but I love them and I amfeeling a little picked on...what are the odds that this keeps happening to me. Kimi's cat has a broken pelvis,and the vet said that she was definatly hit by a car...she should recover but will likely have a limp. So Our daughter Britteny needed someone torake care of her cat Fluffy Butt sooo I have Fluffy,and she is doing good, we don't know how old Fluffy is ,cause Britt adopted her when someone moved and left thier cat,sooo Britt took her in. Now Britt lives with her in-laws and they are allergic to cats, so I have this cute cat, she's adjusting well. Hopefully she'll survive us, we love her, she sleeps with us,and after a couple of weeks she likes all the other animals here too.

April...Spring...Yeah!!!

Hi, we are having a fun spring around here. We are looking foreward to Easter this weekend,and enjoying sharing it with Kimi,Jesse and family. We are going to color eggs tomorrow, it's suppose to warm up nicely,so maybe we can do it outside. The kid's wore thier Easter clothes last week to church seem's how conferance is this weekend, they looked so cute!

I watered the lawn out front for the first time this year, Jeff has had to mow the lawn twice so far this year. Our lilac bushes are getting ready to pop, a few of them have and they smell wonderful!! I love spring!!!

Our cats got fixed, the Washinton clinic let us borrow some pet carriers, so that made it easier. Kimi and Jesse took them in early last Saturday by 7:a.m., then at around 1:00 p.m., they went and got them and brought them home. My kitty Precious still was having a little problem, his back leg didn't want to work, but, by Saturday night his leg was back to normal. We had to make sure they didn't lick thier incision's so Jesse went to see how much it would cost to get cones to put on thier heads,$22 buck's each!!! So Jesse made cone's for all of them, it cost about $3 buck's for all of them!We took the cone's off on Wednesday night,they were sooo happy to get them off. Our cat that we got from Britt has began to be nice to the other kitties around, she loves to meow, she quite the talker, we decided her name should be Chatty Cathy.

I made it through the R.S. Birthday Party, so now I guess I can focus on Indexing again, I've been slacking off and I need to get back to doing indexing regularly. And it's fun to go to Relief Society and sit on the back row,and just enjoy the meeting, I love it.

Later this month we might get to go to Salt Lake,whenever we get the call from Shane saying he's ready to be made an Elder so his dad can go and ordain him . We are so happy for him and his family, to see them expanding thier horizons, and accepting the calling's in scouts...I know they will do a super job.

We are looking forward to a fun month,I love April and May,they are the best month's of the year for me.It seem's like St.George was wetter and colder than normal this year, but it's great that we should be great for water this year. I will enjoy the warm weather when it decides to come and stay...right now it's warm for a couple of days then cool for a couple of days,so I haven't been able to open my window's yet, and keep them open for a couple of month's before we have to turn on the a.c. I guess this is it for this month...Keep Smiling till next time!

Hi, our life has been exciting as you know since we have had Kimi and Jesse and family move in with us. They brought 6 animals 4 kittens and 2 cats. They are so entertaining. I adopted 1 of the kittens, we named her "Precious", we ended up calling him N.S.P. because he's not so precious.but he's sooo cute and I love him. Kimi's cats names are "Cloie",she's the cat they've had for a few years," Mow mow", the kitten they kept for Britteny, "Midge" and" Sir rena,"the 2 kittens that are precious's siblings. Thier mommy cat is "Sammy". They ended up taking Sammy to the humane society, and we ended up adopting one of Britteny's other cat "Fluffy butt", so we have 2 adult cats and 4 kittens and 1 dog, our Dolly. Now for the story of taking 4kittens and Dolly to get thier rabies shots.....first we had to catch them all and put them in the car,then we got Dolly(kimi and Jesse and family are in Salt Lake for 10 days,so they couldn't help us get them there,but they paid for all the shots) Any way we don't have pet carrier's , what fun...they yawled the whole way to Petco and were highly nervous, they tried to run through the windshild and bonked thier heads. Jeff is driving and holding Dolly,and I'm trying to keep 4 nervous cats calm. Soooo funny...they weren't calm. We finally got there and I got all the paperwork filled out...we took them in 2 at a time to get thier shots, it went okay till we got to the last 2 ,Sir rena and midge, they weren't budging...we finally got them out Jeff has the battlescars to prove it!! Any way we head for home, we get about 3 blocks from the house and we smell this awful smell...2 of the cat's have pooped in the car...Jeff goes to roll down the window, and I'm saying No! the cats will get out....we go to make a left turn on Main and !st and this lady is going the wrong way in our turn lane. Jeff and the lady are yelling at each other..Jeff explains she's in our lane ,she keeps screaming at him.... the cats are going crazy...Jeff calls the lady a not nice name. We finally get turned and get home. We got all the animals in the house , and then we cleaned the car...not a fun job. I told Jeff just wait...the next time we go to the Temple we will probbably run into that lady. Oh well, it's done. In 2 weeks it's time to take the kittens to Ivin's to get them fixed, Kimi and Jesse will be here to help, I'm sure it will be an adventure!!!
So last week we got to go to Salt Lake for our grandson's baptism, Braxton, he's Shane and Anngee's son. Shane baptised him and Jeff confermed him, it went so good!! all 16 of our grandchildren were there. I took picture's I'll post them when Kimi comes back...I don't know how.
Also Jesse fixed an overhead light for me in the dining room over our table, he took some shells from a present I got from Max and Mark a few years ago. It looks so amazing, I'll post that picture later also. I love it... it took him many hours and he did such a super job,he's so talented.
Jeff decided I've been to stressed lately so he went and asked the Bishop to release me from Relief Society. So after the R.S. B-Day party, I'll be done. I guess that will take some of the stress away.
It seems like we don't see Dad and Dockie as much as we used to...they go to the Meadow's for church now , we see them out in the yard every now and then, I miss not having them at church though.
We did have fun getting to visit with Nadine and Coy when we came back from Salt Lake, they put us up for the night, then the next morning Nadine tipped my hair for me, she's so nice,and I really like it, I gave her a trim and then we headed home. So our life has been busy this month,and it flew by...So till next time Keep Smileing!!!

January is gone!

This month went by soooo fast. It was a good month, we had fun when our good friends Wayne and Jean Perkins come for a visit from Midvale. Jean and me served together in many calling's while we lived in Midvale,and we became good friends. Her husband just retired and so they have more free time on thier hands. Jean is the Relief Society in her ward currently,and he's the executive secretary, so they still don't get to go places too much, but we enjoyed our day together. We went to lunch at Poncho and Lefty's and talked and talked and talked. I wish they would move here, it would be so much fun.
Kimi and Jesse and family are doing well. We've lived under the same roof for a little over 2 months,and we still are getting along. It's so much fun to have someone to talk to while Jeff is reading. We are blessed because Jesse love's to cook ,and he's very good at it, a little too good, I think I'm gaining weight again(I have to blame someone other than me). Me and Kimi get to go to the store and do window shopping and such, I love having them here, it's good. They stay up alot later than we are used too, but they also sleep in a little longer than we do, but we are adjusting to each other's schedule okay. The kids are doing good also, they love to play outside and play video games, they are so full of energy. Kimi Rae and Payton have been coming to church with us on Sunday's and Kimi is now my visiting teacher partner, plus she recieved a calling yesterday as Baby blanket assistant coordinator, she gets to help make blankets, and give them to the new mother's in our ward. One thing about Kimi is she wear's these shoes that make her like a foot taller, so she is alway's asked to help when we need someone tall to help reach thing's at church, she is so good to help with a smile.
Our Corky has had a rough time of late, he went blind then he lost his hearing, and all he could do was walk in circles, on the 25th we noticed he was really quiet and not eating, we loved him and held him, we knew he was close to dying, he passed away at 8:00 p.m., we buried him out back under our tree, he's by Cockers and Tippy, no more animals are allowed to die at my house, I'm through, it's too hard when they pass, sooo they just have to live forever, I hope Dolly is listening.
Jeff's birthday was on the 26th, he got lot's of books and movies, and Jesse baked him a cake plus Kimi and Jesse gave him a couple of really fun shirts., we went out to dinner and saw the movie Avatar(very good movie). All in all it was a good day for him .Thanks to all who made the day special for him.
So Dad and Dockie got this new calling to go to the "Meadow's " for 2 years. So they had to have thier record's moved there. The Meadows is an assisted care facillity, and they help them with Indexing and that kind of thing. We are missing them coming to church with us, we have been sitting next to them in church for 8 years, now they are helping another ward with indexing and we lost 2 of the best indexer's we've had.
We are still indexing in our ward, the goal is lower this year and things are going well for us with that calling. As for me ,I have the lesson on Fast Day,and I'm nervous, you'd think I would get use to this, but it still scares me. I'm in charge of the Birthday social in March, I think I have that under control and all is going good.
Tomorrow Annie is coming to St. George, and we are spending the day together, I am looking forward to it,we will have fun.

It's a new year,I am hoping things get better...but, I'm not going to hold my breath! We had a super fun Christmas, It's so much fun watching children open gifts!!! Jesse and Kimi brought in thier air mattress and slept on the frontroom floor, so they could make sure Santa didn't wake the kids when he came in, I'll post a picture, it was crowded but sooo much fun! We exchanged names with Jesse and Kimi's family, so on Christmas eve ,we had our Christmas dinner and told the Christmas story from the bible ,and opened our gifts that we drew names for. ...This was the latest i've ever slept in for Christmas, we opened presents at 8:30 a.m. We got awesome gifts from our children, lots of pictures of our beautiful grandchildren, everyone knows how much we love picture's. Kimi and Jesse gave us tickets for a dinner and a movie,plus cute picture's, Max and Mark made us a levi quilt, plus pictures, Shane and Anngee gave us a movie a book and a fingernail conditioning kit, plus a picture of Brax. Chelle and Scott gave us beautiful framed picture's of thier children, and Britt and Raymond gave us picture's of thier children.Dad and Dockie gave us money and we gave them money, so all in all we were super spoiled. And I might add we have the most beautiful grandchildren ever, just come to our house and look at all thier picture's.
On New year's we watched a bunch of good movies, with Kimi and Jesse, and then went outside and watched the fireworks at Midnight, and yelled happy New Year to everyone, then went to bed. The next day we had to throw out everything in our freezer, cause somehow the freezer got turned off, and everything it there was thawed and warm. I thought this is a great start to the new year. Our furnace quit working a couple of weeks before Christmas, we spent $132.00 on a part to fix it.... it still doesn't work, soooo thank heavens for the space heaters we have, and the fact we live in St. George, we manage to keep the house at at least 70 degree's , so it's all good.
Our dog Corky is having issue's, he went blind a couple of weeks before Christmas, we think he has cateracts, we can't afford to take him to the vet to have his eye's fixed, he was still doing okay untill a couple of day's ago, I think we may have to put him down, I'm not sure yet.
We are loving having Kimi's family live with us, we don't have to worry about thing's being too quiet. The girls are doing good in school, and little Jesse loves to play nintendo 64, the kids play outside alot, and they have alot of energy. We have kittens and cat's everywhere, and needless to say I have a new kitty, Precious. Kimi and Jesse inherited Britts cat mow mow, and it loves to hop in the dryer when we take clothes out of it, he's a strange silly but pretty cat. He's totally little Jesse's cat, they love each other and sleep by each other. The kittens are fun to watch play with each other.
Our ward indexing ended at 281,065 names, so we exceeded our goal,the bishop was very pleased, we don't know the goal for this year yet, we will find out this week at ward conferance, i'm sure.

Our life isn't boring anymore!!

Hi, this has been a busy month, we had our luau, our ward reached it's goal for indexing, we sadly lost 4 wonderful people in our ward also this month, Thanks giving, Kimi,Jessie and thier family moved in ,and my cute kitty passed away.
The Luau was a hit,everything went off well,it was a fun time,I'm glad it's over!!
Our Ward reached it's goal of indexing 250,000 names, now the names we do are icing on the cake,so far we are at 267,000 names,so it's all good.
Sadly, we have had 2 men and 2 women in our ward pass away this last month. That's alot of funerals,and alot of sadness because they were such wonderful people and will be greatly missed. We hope we are through with this for a while.
My Kitty cat Tippy passed away, we think he must have found something that he shouldn't have found and ate it,and it poisoned him, whatever it was it took him within 24hours, we came home from church 2 weeks ago,and I went in to check on him, and he had passed,I cried and cried...he was such a good cat, it was the first cat that was just mine, and I miss him big time.
Kimi, Jesse and their 4 children moved in last Wednesday, it's so much fun having them right here,and it's fun having some grandchildren really close by. They brought 3 cats and 3 kittens with them, soooo cute. I love having Kimi around to talk to, and to laugh with. Her sweet Jesse made me a leanto manger , it's so cool, I love it, we had alot of help getting Christmas decoration's up, and I'm loving it. The only thing I have to get use to is staying up later than we usally do, but it's all good. The kids have all seemed to adjust to the changes pretty well, they will go and register at school tomorrow, we'll see if they like thier new school, they were going to year round school, so I think this will be better for them.
Thanksgiving was great, we enjoyed having Kimi's family here with us. It was a good time, the holidays are just the best time of year,I love it. As far as Christmas goes everything is home made and done and sent, so I just have dad and Dockie left to figure out.

Thankful for Family

Hi everyone
Our life is still going the same as always, we did our indexing Jeff did4650 names and I did 4500 names. Our ward should reach our goal by about the 15th of this month. I have been practicing my hula dance for our Luou on Friday the 13th. I'll be so happy when Sat the 14th is here,cause that activity will be over with,and I won't have to worry about it any more.
I don't recall if I have mentioned this before ,but, Dolly (our little black dog)barks at the t.v. she watches all the programs we watch, she especially barks during AFV because it has alot of animals on that program, she barks at commercials, and at cartoons, pbs has alot of childrens programs and she really barks at alot. It can get really annoying and funny at the same time.

Our Corky has lost some weight and drinks soooo much water,he loves the freedom of going in or out whenever he wants to. Our Cat thinks he's a dog, he pants and play's with the doggie toys, he constantly wants to play and bites hard, but he's still cute.
Last thursday was the anniversary of mother's death, and me and Jeff went to Joseph to put flowers on her grave, We went and stayed with Nadine and Coy. Jeff and Coy went and played 18 holes of golf, Jeff loved it ,he hadn't been golfing in a long time. Then we had a barbque ,and Terry and Lorilee came, it was fun tosee them, we exchanged some gifts. Me and Nadine gave Terry thier Christmas gifts,and Terry gave us Dad's b-day gift for Nov 26, then me and Jeff brought Christmas gifts back for those of us down here in the southern part of the state. We played a game called apples to apples with Nadine,Coy, Kenneth and Ashley, it was alot of fun, we watched movies, then went to bed, and got up Friday morning and headed back home. It was so good to get away, even for a short time.
Well sometime in the week before Thanksgiving our household will go through a little bit of change. Kimi and Jesse and children are coming to live with us for a while, I'm not sure how long,but we are looking forward to them coming. They are trying to sell thier home inWest Jordan, Jesse is not having luck in finding a job there, so I guess he'll see what happens here. So our life will get a little more exciting.

Another month is gone, October already, Wow!!

Hi!!
We've had a pretty good month. We have been busy with our ward callings, me and Jeff each did our indexing and did 4500 names each. I gave my lesson in Relief Society, I think I did okay,it scares me soooo bad. I'm not a good public speaker, I get super nervous, but I won't have to do it again for at least 3 to 4 months . Our R.S. is having a holiday party ,and for that I have to learn how to hula, I'm trying to learn, i'm danceing in 2 numbers, one with alot of ladies from the ward, I'm in the back so maybe i can hide, the other number is with the R.S. presidency, I don't think I can hide for that one. But i have like 6 weeks to learn them so maybe with alot of practice I can do it.
I got the flu at the beginning of last month, and I am just now getting over with it, I still have a bad cough, but at least i'm doing better, it's the pitts,try to not get it. Jeff had it for like one week, he got over it easier than I did.
We've been to kolob a quite a bit this month, Jeff and my dad are working on the Bishop's cabin, they've been plumbing for him. Me and Dockie got to go with them a couple of times, the leaves are changing and it's a nice ride. We saw wild turkeys the other day, and dad and Jeff say they've seen deer close by the cabin. It will be nice when it's done!
Dockie is still in her wheel chair alot, her knee is really giving her fits,I hope they figure out how to help her soon, she's getting tired of not being able to do the things she likes to do.
Becky and Mike invited us and dad and Dockie to thier home for dinner a couple of weeks ago, Becky fixed us a very good meal, and after that we played hand and foot(a card game), we had so much fun. They live in a really nice condo in washington by the wal-mart there, they aren't to far away and it's fun to get together with them.
Our animals are all doing good, they keep us entertained with all the crazy things they do, we try and take them for walks and they hate it when we're gone for more than a couple of hours, when we get home they go nuts when they see us come home and they act like they haven't seen us in a week. It's nice to be missed .
The weather has cooled off alot, and we were finally able to turn our a c off, we opened windows and let the house air out, and we enjoy sitting outside in the nicer days.
I really wish we could see our children and grandchildren more, we miss them so much. This economy is hard on all of us and it's hard to get the extra cash to get to travel to visit. It's been a tough time for us in that way, but hopefully things will get better.

We reached our Goal!

I decided it was time to do an update on whats been going on with us.We made our goal for indexing, it was really kind od difficult to do, because we had some unexspected things happen this last month.My new calling is my old calling,I'm back to being the enrichment counselor. It's a calling that takes a little bit
more time, visiting sisters in the ward, planning activities, getting the mini classes going again,and alot of meetings,plus they said I also need to keep my calling of indexing with my honey, which is great because I love that calling.
Then there was the time I got to spend with my sister's, being together was fun, the situation that brought us together was not fun. Gary got through his surgery, and is recouping at home. Then the sickness and hospitalization of aunt Mary Jane.I'm glad we got to see her and talk to her. We had a reunion with all of her family, i haven't seen them in like 20years. We did alot of catching up with what's going on with our families.Then the passing of our aunt, it was a rough time for her family, and we will all miss her so much. Her funeral was a reunion of seeing even more cousins, and realetive's.
We get to go back to our cleaning at workforce services, which is helpful, we need it. On another note, our dog Corky is doing much better, he goes in and out the doggie door. We have noticed he snore's big time, really loud. we laugh at him, he does lots of fun things, he makes us happy.
Also , we got to have Rae for a couple of nights, she's easy to keep entertained, we put together a puzzle that Dockie gave her. She loves to play our old nintendo 64, plus when Xavy comes, she helps keep him entertained. She also leaves sweet little notes for us all over, it's fun to read them.

So that's what has been going on with us, the weather is cooling down, our life is going good, we hope your summer was fun, it's time to start getting ready for fall. Take care till next time.

We've added a new member to our family

As you can see on our blog, we have a picture of our latest addition. He's a cute pom named Corky. He will be 9 yrs old in Sept. He was so unsure of us the first week, I think he was nervous, we just kept telling him it was okay, we loved him , took him for walks, fed him. Then a few days ago, he started wagging his tail when we would come home from the store or whatever, he lets me hold him and rub his chest, he loves his walks now, and he loves to eat, But, he won't use the doggie door,we've tried so many times to get him to go in and out it, but he doesn't like it at all.So I get up every morning at 5:30 to take him out, then we go for our walk at 7:00, while its still cool. I love him so much, his little face looks like George, and he is likeing us more every day.It took our kitty about a week to stop hissing at him, but now the kitty and Corky get along great, Dolly likes him too, so it's all good, and we love all our animals.
I was so happy to get to go to Annie's for the baptism of Emma. Dad and Dockie took me with them, cause Jeff went to the cabin with the Bishop, to see what he needs to plumb his cabin for him.Any way it was great to get to meet Annie,and Gary's new daughters. They are really a couple of sweet young girls.We got to spend the day there, and we had a really good lunch, we had fun talking to every one,and then Dad took us home a different way than we went to get there, it was the scenic route, and was a nice ride home.
We still love to do our indexing.But as of tomorrow I will be blessed with another calling, I'll fill you in on that after I get sustained.We have set a goal to have 10,000 names done by the end of this month, that will be the number we've done since we got our calling, that's 10,000 for each of us. It's fun to set goals ,and see if you can reach them.We do 4 batches a day, so hopefully we'll get there.
We have been enjoying eating our green seedless grapes off our vine out back, they are sweet and sooo good when we put them in the fridge and eat them when they're cold.
Gary will have his surgery next week on Tuesday, Nadine is coming from Elsinore, and me and her will go to the hospital to be there with Annie, while Gary is in surgery. Please Keep Gary and Annie in your prayers, that's one of the very best support systems there is for us to use. Nadine will be spending the night here on Tuesday, I love getting to see my sister's, the situation for seeing each other isn't the best, but we will get to be together none the less.
Dad and Dockie have been in California all this week, it's been strange not getting to go and bug dad any time I want, we miss them, but we know they are having fun visiting uncle Arnold and aunt Shirley.
Rochelle and Scott's little family is doing really well. Ivy is doing good and can sit up now and she is getting bigger and cuter every day.We are so happy that thier family is having a fun summer and getting to do fun things and go on vacations.
We know Shane and his family are doing okay, Jeff went to S.L.C. last weekend and spent the night there, he said he got to visit with Kimi and Jessie, and Max and Mark, so we know they are doing okay, he tried to see Britt and Raymond, but nobody was home, and he had lunch with Pat,so we know he is doing good. We just go to facebook, to see how Ted is doing, we don't get to talk to him to much, but we can see what he has to say on facebook, so we think he's doing alright. We love all the kids and grandkids, we wish we could see them more often, but life happens, and sometimes we don't get to do the things we really want to.

It's a Little Warm In St. George

Hi!Well to start out with my blog today, let's just say I try to spend alot of time indoors, a couple of days ago we hit 114 degrees, I go outside in the morning hours, but after it hits noon, I try to stay inside.Still better than the snow in the winter! I'd much rather live here.
Last weekend we got to go to Salt Lake, our Rayden was baptised, it was so great to see him, along with every one else who was there. We all went to Arctic Circle afterwards and had an ice cream cone. All of the grandchildren that were there are growing up so fast, our Jeffery now has a low voice and he is 14years old, where did all that time go?It's amazing when you don't see them daily, how much more grown up they are every time you see them.
We talked to Pat while we were in Salt Lake, he said he thought we might as well take the blue truck back to St.George with us, cause he wasn't using it. ( we had given the truck to Pat a few months ago, thinking maybe he could use it to drive back and forth to work)Me and Jeff talked it over, trying to decide what we should do. There are just the 2 of us at home and we don't need 3 vehicles, soooo after talking it over, Jeff decided he wanted to keep the truck. Then we decided that maybe Shane and Anngee could use our Durango, as you know they let us live rent free in thier basement for 6 months, so we thought it would be nice if we could kind of show our appreciation for thier kindness, by extending a kindness back to them. They seemed to like the idea, so they traveled to St.George with us, and helped us drive by taking one of the cars for us. Jeff and Shane went in the truck, and Anngee drove my car. And so they spent all last Sunday on the road going to St.George and then back to Salt lake. But they did get the Durango, I think it will help them get around on those super snowy days. And it was fun to see how happy they were to get it.
Rae(Jessie and Kimi's oldest daughter) came and spent the night with us last Tuesday, we had so much fun with her, we went to the water park, and had fun fixing some of her favorite meals , and she played nintendo(the old games, cause that's what we have) and she drew us many pictures, and left sweet little notes for us all over. The next day she was so sweet to help us keep Savey entertained, she even played nintendo with him. Rae is so good with children younger than her, Savey was disappointed when he came back on Thurs, and Rae wasn't there. On Wed me and Jeff took Rae to the dollar store,and let her pick out some things(We are such big spender's, right?) But she seemed to enjoy that, then we went to Mickey D's for lunch, we had fun getting to spend time with Rae.
Yeterday was our anniversary, we have been married for 36 years. We laughed last night at how much we have changed in those 36 years, when you consider that I'm over weight (alot) and he's got alot of gray hair, and we're sitting there laughing cause we had both taken out our teeth, and thought WOW after all these changes and all these years, we still love each other, more than ever. We are so blessed!! We went out to dinner early at 5:00 p.m., then we went to Wal-mart ans bought a movie to watch. We bought the movie "Australia". What a good movie , it's long but so good, we both liked it very much.
And so life just keeps going ,we still do alot of indexing, and I still love to play my facebook games, our animals keep us entertained, and the sun keeps shining in good old Dixie. Our love and prayers are with Gary and Annette and thier family, we KNOW he will be okay, he's a good man, he's going to get through everything with flying colors. Take care till next time!

Since the last time I've blogged, I've got to be a year older, Annette came to se ME,and we've been indexing like crazy. Our kitty has learned how to go in and out the doggie door,the 4th of july came and went, Rochelle and Scott's little Ivy went to have the surgery, that didn't happen, and summer finally has come and the 100+ degree day's are now here.
July 1 was my b-day, Jeff bought me breakfast, and we had a relaxing day at home.
Annette informed me that she had read my last blog,so when she came to St.George , she parked her car at our house and said she was visiting me, and that it was dad who would have the perk of living next to me, and that she would go say hi to him. Thanks Annie, your a good sister for making me feel loved.
Me and Jeff each indexed 2,500 names last month.For us 2 technology challenged people, that's pretty good. We actualy enjoy doing them.We are learning more and more every day, and are getting pretty effisant at figuring out the handwriting of many different people, and alot of men were alot older than thier wives, some of them are 30yrs older, and we've seen that alot of girls under the age of 17 were having babies. This one lady I did yesterday was 21 and had 4 children , the oldest was 5, it's amazing!!
Our kitty comes and goes as he wants now, I was afraid he would run away and not come home, but he stays in the yard,and he enjoys the freedom of going outside when he wants, he still loves to play and bites kind of hard,but he's still a fun kitty, I love him. Dolly tolerates him and his playful moods.
Rochelle and Scott travelled 400 miles to have thier baby operated on at Primary childrens, When they went in for the pre op tests, the doctors asked why they were there. I guess the doctors cancelled the surgery( they want to wait till Ivy is walking) and somehow didn't get around to telling Rochelle or Scott. Not a very professinal way to handle thing's and really upsetting . Ivy did go in for a procedure to make it easier for her oxygen intake, I don't understand it all, you'd have to read Chelle's blog. But at any rate, they are going to go back home with a family trip to bear lake first(Scott's family).
For the 4th of July we didn't do much of anything, we tried to get some of our kids to come, but things are tight and nobody could come, Dad and Dockie alway's spend the 4th at her sister's house, so another holiday spent with just me and Jeff, having a barbque with just the 2 of us. We love St.George, but miss getting to do things with our kids on the holidays, we are stuck between a rock and a hard place ,and it's the pitt's!!!
It's finally got hot here, this is the longest spring we've had since moving here. But the day's are hot now, it still beats snow in the winters though.
On next Friday night we will be making a trip to Salt Lake, Britt's son Rayden is going to be baptized, so we will go there for that next Sat, and come home on Sun. We are looking forward to it.

This has been a good week. We started last Monday by getting up, and doing the not so fun things like mowing the lawn, changeing the sheets on our bed, wash etc. Then we started hearing from different people in the ward wanting help with indexing. ( good thing we got our chores done early,so the house and yard looked good)I was mowing next door when we got a surprise visitor... Becky (our niece) came by to visit. We went to the water park and her Nayeli had alot of fun. I got to watch little Zac which was fun for me!!We walked back home and visited for a while. It's so nice to have someone come to visit us.
I was watching the animals again for the neighbors next door, thier dogs are so excited to see me coming now, they know me much better now. They came home on tues night. They had a great time. Then wed. she brought me the prettiest flower bowl to put on my table outside. She said it was for us watching thier animals, I told her I was always glad to help and didn't need to have her making sweet gifts for me. ( they provide our internet, at no cost to us) I get to start watching thier son Savy again next week. He's so cute. Last week he escaped and came to visit us with out his parents knowledge of it. When I took him home his dad had just started hunting for him, he was glad I brought him back, he didn't know that Savy could open the door and escape. He said it scared him to know that Savy would just leave. We live on Main street and there is no front fence, but Savy just decided he wanted to visit us, he knocked on the door,Jeff answered, looked all around,and then knew that Savy was alone. Savy came in the house and out our doggie door to go and swing in the back yard. Needless to say since then, they bolt all thier doors now.
Today is Fathers day, and we got up and went to church, learned some new information about indeing, we love this new calling ,so much fun!! We came home and I fixed Jeff dinner, I asked him what he wanted to do for the rest of the day...of course he wanted to read, so that's what he's done all day, except for 1 hour, when we did a batch of indexing. I hope all the dad's out there have a great Father's day!!
We did get to see Leana and Calvin for a while this week, they were out and about cause it was the week of thier anniversary,so they were just doing some traveling, they went to see Becky, and dad, then there's that perk of us living next door to dad, so we got to visit with them also.
And on another note Congrats to Jason and Leslie they are being sealed on July 11 in the Salt Lake Temple. We are happy for them. We are looking forward to being in Salt Lake on the 11 also , but we will be there for our Raydens baptism. We can hardly wait.

Roller Coaster

I've been having an interesting, sometimes sad,and sometimes glad roller coaster ride of life the past 10 days or so.I've learned to keep my opinions to myself, cause nobody really is interested or cares what my opinion is... if it's not the same as thiers, and of course my way of thinking is wrong in thier eye's. It caused me sleepless nights,and I couldn't do any thing but cry for about a day and a half.But i got through it. My sweetie asked me if I was doubting how I felt and believed, I told him absolutely not, I felt hurt and sad, but that my convictions and beliefs were right for me and that's just the way it has to be.
Now for the glad... Terry and Lorilee came to St.George on Friday, they came to see Dad and Dockie,but we are next door, so we get to see them also. They bought a new car and was bringing it to show Dad. It's a pretty red ford focus,really nice. On Sat afternoon Terry and Lorilee treated Dad ,Dockie, me and Jeff to dinner at Chucka Rama, me and Jeff have not been out to eat since last October, it was so nice, and we had fun talking about Farmtown and family and his work and stuff. I so much enjoyed haveing fun and getting to talk to them. Then Later that night we got to play a card game called hand and foot at Dad and Dockie's.What a good time that was. It took a long time to play it, and we kept Dad up past his bedtime. I love it when family comes to visit Dad and Dockie, the perks of living next door, we get to see them too.
We are still doing indexing, I've done 1,463 names and Jeff has done 1,354 names, we enjoy it now, and we can actually teach others how to do it now. Dockie and Dad have done thousands and thousands of names, but we've only been doing this a short amount of time, we'll get there eventually.
The weater here has been fabulous, it's not been too hot, the high's have been in the upper 80's, it's been a cooler than normal June for St.George,and it's been perfect. We think it will end by Wed. of next week. but it's all good, we've loved it.

Strolling along......

Hi,
It looks as though my back is finally getting back to normal,after weeks of it being out and hurting like crazy. So me and Jeff have resumed our walks. We take Dolly with us, and I decided Tippy might like to go too. So, I took our umbrella stroller and sewed a wire mesh to the stroller, we put the kitty inside and away we go. The kitten lays there for a good portion of the walk. We get alot of comments on the fact that we take our kitten for a walk with us. We also have a kiity leash, he wears it when we sit out front. He is somewhat spoiled, we've nic named him"holy terror" and "energiser bunny" he's always playing,and he bites pretty hard. But he's cute and I love him.
We've been doing pretty good on our indexing, we both do a batch or
some days 2 batches of names. We are getting better at it the more we do.Some people have the strangest handwritting and it's a little difficult to figure out thier spelling, but, it's all good.
We got new neighbors next door where the Telfords used to be. They are very nice, they have 2 little boys and 2 big black dogs, and a kitty.We are glad that house isn't empty any more. On the other side of us, our neighbors Tim and Abby went away for 4 days, and we get to take care of thier 2 dogs and a cat. They have one big black dog named boo,he like's us cause he knows us,but he's not to fond of people he don't know,so they figure he will guard the house for them. Thier other little dog is zowie, he's old and he's small and he's lost his hearing, but he's a cute little guy. The cat is black with white paws ,so pretty but scared of people. So we will have fun playing with them and making sure they are fed.
I only have 2 tomato plants , but they have alot of tomato's on them and the green pepper plantshave lots of blossems, so hopefully they will do well also. Our yard is looking so good this year, last year, we kind of let it go,cause we weren.t here much, so this year it will get better care.
We would love to go camping, but we aren't sure if we'll get to this year, I do love camping and have missed getting to go big time. I love summer, but with things the way they are, it looks like we'll be home for the most part.

Just Well, it's Wednesday afternoon,and it's been a while since I've last posted, so I guess I'll tell you whats going on with us.We really have a rather boreing life. A while ago I pulled weeds,and every since then my back has been sore. It is so annoying, I just want it to go back to normal, but it's still making my life difficult.But oh well that's the way it is.
A couple of month's ago I decided I should try and do some indexing. So I downloaded a batch of names to do, poor dad had to come over and help me with it several times. I got exasperated cause I was having a hard time getting the hang of it. So I told dad I was too stupid to do indexing.Well as it turned out,me and Jeff got a new calling this week,and we are now indexing teachers, I told the Bishop we really needed a good blessing when we got set apart, because me and Jeff are not good with computers and we would need to have help to show us how to do it, so we could teach other's.As it turned out we've been indexing a couple of days and I think we are getting the hang of it.It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
Our Tippy is growing and still very playful, but he is so much fun. I have made him several toys,and he has been playing with them nonstop. Dolly and tippy get along well,and we are so glad he's with us.
Summer has brought some changes for us, we don't get to clean the buildings that we have been doing, because Kim(the guy we would work for)boy's came home for summer break, so they are doing what we used to do. Plus one of the boy's I watched is staying home for the summer,and a teenage realative is watching him for the summer so we are really going to have to pinch pennies.
The weather is warm, which is great cause,we like the heat better than the cold,so we aren't complaining. But it's going to be a little bit cooler this week.It's Memorial Day this Monday, and we have nothing planned, we will just be home doing the same thing we always do. But we hope every one has a super extended weekend, and that you enjoy each others company. Have fun!!

The Purr-fect Gift

Those of you that know me well, knows how much I love Cats. 2 years ago this month our cat Cockers had to be put down,soooo hard,we had our good cry,and Jeff said "no more cats". We have had cats our whole married life except for the past 2 years.Well I finally talked him into it,sort of.Mothers day was coming,we have no money, I told him that our neighbors the Sherman's had 3 kittens that they were ready to give away. It would be the purr-fect mothers day gift for me. We went to their home and I picked out a white kitty, he has light brown ears, and light brown rings on his tail, otherwise he is all white, so I named him Tippy. The Sherman's said he was the calm one,kind of lathargic, well I wanted him any way. We brought him home, our dog Dolly sniffed him out and decided he could stay. So Dolly and Tippy sleep with us in our bed. The first night no problems he cuddled up next to me and slept through the night except for the fact that Tippy was hungry at 4:30 a.m., so I fed him and we went back to bed and went to sleep. That next day our lathargic kitten decided to grow a personality. He loves to play
and be held, and loves to follow Dolly around. He wakes up at 5:00a.m. evry morning and wants to play, he can climb anything, he eats well, and has never had an accident, he has used the litter box every time,which is good, cause his mommy is an outdoor cat, and he was never inside till we brought him here.Needless to say I love my kitten, right now as I'm writting this, he's playing on my feet and bitting my toes.
Not much else is going on,same old stuff day after day. I still love St. George, even when it's hot! I pulled weed's last Monday , and my back is still complaining, it's so sore, but our yard looks so good. I went and picked about ten red roses off my rose bush for my table decoration for my lesson at church tomorrow. And if any one ask's if I got them for Mother's day, I'll say yes,cause Jeff bought the rose bush for me on Mothers day 3 years ago. It's been producing the most beautiful red roses every since then, I so much enjoy my rose bushes, I have 5,Jeff gave me 4 of them and Kimi gave me my purple one for Mothers day a few years ago.

Enjoyin Life

Our life is going along pretty good.We've been walking in the morning,and trying to eat bettet, we cut out the bread for the most part,(I love bread)and we are eating less of the sweets,and trying to cut down on our food portions. We want to see if we can loose some weight this way,we'll see how we do,we'll weigh ourselves on Wed night and see if we lost any thing.
We went with dad and Dockie on an I.C.L. trip yesterday, we went on the old spanish trail. We got to see many interesting places, we went to an old town site , it wasn't there any more, but it used to be a town called Hamblin, it was settled by Jacob Hamblin, we went to the town cemetary, and found some headstones of people that Dockie is related to. The weather was interesting, we had blue skies, then rain then hail then snow.All in all it was a fun day, I love going on back roads that require 4 wheel drive, we find the most awesome places, it was a good time.
I guess I get to see how well I can talk with these new teeth, I get to teach the young women for a couple of weeks while thier teachers are out of town. I think I sound strange ,but people say I'm doing good,It's really weird to think that you have to try and figure out how to talk again, but your tongue gets confused at where it's suppose to go ,when it's got all these teeth to manuver around.
Jeff called and talked to the people we have our mortgage with and explained that we were now living on social security, and we weren't making enough money to make our mortgage payments, they actually restructured our payments to about half of what they were. We were so grateful that they would listen and help us out. What a relief, so we get to keep our trailer, I am super happy about that.
I've been on facebook for a while now, and they have this place called Farmtown, that is so much fun and addicting to play. Who would have ever thought I could get so caught up in that site. I also have a pet in Pet Society that is alot of fun also. I do the quizes, they are entertaining.So now I actually like going on the computer. Mother would be so proud, she was so good at computers, and I could never do any thing on them. I am a very slow typer,and typing these blogs takes me forever but I do love reading them.That's all for this week , keep smiling!

Scooter

We had a decision to make and it was decided that we had to take Scooter back to the animal shelter.Scooter is a fun and playful and loveable dog. The problem was...he wanted to play with Dolly constantly, and he's bigger and a bit to hard on Dolly when he plays with her. Soon Dolly was hiding or on our laps,she wouldn't go outside, she wae afraid to move for fear that Scooter would go after her to play. He was bitting her little hind legs, and she couldn't jump on our laps anymore. But on the other hand Scooter loved Sam and Sam loved Scooter, and they would play with each other outside and inside. Scooter loved me and was either on my lap or on my feet, he was for me,so I would have a dog to walk, cause Jeff always walks Dolly. Any way we decided Dolly needed to feel safe,so we took Scooter back. We explained why, and told her all of his good points and she said she thought that he would be adopted again quickly. An hour and a half lter we got a call from the animal shelter and they said Scooter had already been adopted. So now we are hoping to be able to find a small dog that will be good for Dolly as well as me. What I need is another George, I think it will be close to impossible to find another dog like him,he was the best dog ever.
On another note,we are enjoying being outside, we mowed and watered the lawn, and I pulled dandilions and our flowers are out in full bloom, they look so pretty.I love this time of year!
My friend Amy Hofer is coming to St.George to visit this next week, and she is coming to visit me on Wed. morning. I used to watch her children when she lived here. It will be fun to visit with her and the kids, Sam can meet Corbin, they are about a year apart in age, but Sam is such a good little boy ,he plays with others really good,and Corbin does too,so they can keep each other entertained while I visit with Amy.
That's about all that's happening with us, not to exciting around here. But if you find a cute little dog that needs a home ,keep me in mind, okay.

Life is Good!!

Well we left Friday afternoon to go to Shane and Anngee's house. We got there at about 4:30p.m., we visited with them and had a yummy pork chop dinner, we visited some more, retired for the night. We got up at 6:30a.m.,got ready, and left at 7:00a.m. for Boise. We waved as we went through Burley area, cause we know that's where Nate and Nat live. We got to Boise around 12:15p.m. We followed the instructions that we got off google earth, we found it pretty easily, we only had to back track a couple of times. Chelle and Scott have a really nice home, it was our first time there,it was great to see all of them. Baby Ivy looks soooo good,her brothers are so good with her. We walked to the park and watched the kids play. We got up early to go to church for Ivy's blessing( their Sac.mtg. starts at 8:30a.m) Chelle made a breakfast afterwards, every thing went real nice. It was fun. We left at 11:00a.m. to go back to Shanes, We got there at 4:30p.m. Shane was sick and so was home alone, cause Anngee and kids went to the Easter Party that Britt was having for the kids. We stayed with Shane, we ate with him and watched t.v. and Dolly was so happy to see us (Shane and Anngee took care of her while we were at Chelle's) We got up early the next morning and headed back for St. George, we got here at about 11:30a.m. Scooter was happy to see us,dad had been watching scooter for us, I guess he's an escape artist,dad had to put him back in the yard,and figure out how he got out ,and then fix it for us. Thanks dad! All in all it was a great trip, we logged close to 1400 miles.
I got my teeth just befor we left Friday, I had no time to get use to them, they didn't fit quite right and hurt like crazy. They left sores in my mouth,and I thought, man I wanted these teeth so bad, and they hurt so bad I can't wear them. When we got home I asked Jeff to work on them. He got out his wood working kit that he got a couple of years ago, for making small wood ornaments and such. Anyway he was able to fix them so they didn't hurt any more after about 20 times of me putting them in telling him where they hurt,and him fixing them, he's sooo good with me. So today I am actually wearing them. So now I have to learn how to eat with them, and learn how to talk right. But my teeth look normal again.
So thanks to everyone that made our weekend so much fun. We hope everyone had a super Easter.

Fun weekend ahead

Tomorrow at 9:00a.m. I have an appointment to get my Teeth!!!!!I can hardly wait. After that we are packing our car, and Dolly and we are headed up to S.L.C. Shane and Anngee are letting us stay with them tomorrow night. They are taking care of Dolly for us till Sunday night.Our dog Scooter just wants to play constantly with Dolly, and he gets a little bit to rough for her, we are afraid if we leave them alone he will never stop and we can't do that to Dolly.Dad will watch out for Scooter for us, we are leaving him outside, we'll see how that goes.Saturday morning we are headed to Boise for the baby blessing of Ivy. We have never been to Chelle and Scott's home,so this will be a fun time. Then Sunday we are headed back to S.L.C. to spend the night with Shane and Anngee, We look forward to getting to visit them also. Then Monday we will come back to St.George.It's kind of alot of driving, but it will be fun.We haven't been able to do much, and this is a trip we are looking so much forward to.
I didn't ever let you know how the Going away party went. For as unsure as we were of how things would go, it went good. Jeff got to see alot of his family that he hadn't seen in a while, although the circumstances weren't for a fun reason, he did enjoy visiting with them.

Going Away Party

For those of you who may not know this, Jeff's mom passed away on March 17th. She was creamated soon after.This weekend there is a memorial for her. It's being called a "going away party". I'm not sure how it will go, but it will be a first for me and Jeff. I guess it's a nontraditional&unconventional way to have a memorial.All I know is that they will place her ashes either next to or with her husband,who passed away a year before me and Jeff were married. Then afterward they are meeting at a park, across from the cemetary, then I guess people will tell some of thier memories of her. Jeff's mom didn't have life insurance,and everyone is either not working or having a rough time financially so this is the way it's going to be done. Sowe'll see how it goes.
We will be spending Saturday night at Kimi's house,and she will be coming to St.George with her family,and they will be spending the night at our house. That way she can keep take care of our dog's for us, and we can take care of her cat's for her. We will take our time coming home from S.L.C.,we will stop off in Elsinore to see Nadine, I'm looking forward to that, cause it's been quite a while since we've seen her. She invited us to have dinner with her and Coy, it will be fun to chat with them. We should be home sometime Sunday night.

The deal fell through, The man who said he would buy it, had a call from a daughter in Denver,who needs thier help.He said that someone now has cancer,and they are needed there. He felt bad that he had to back out. We hope that everything goes good for him and his family. Does anyone want to buy a trailer?

Good News

Today,we sold our trailer. That means we can make the Feb. and Mar. mortgage payments that we are behind on,and that means we can keep our home. I was beginning to think we would have to move in our trailer.We will miss it when we go camping,but, we still have our tent, I love camping we will still go,we just won't be as spoiled!
The other good thing is we can go to Boise for little Ivy's blessing on Easter. We haven't ever seen Scott and Rochelles house yet, so it will be a fun trip. Plus we can get our fridge fixed,it hasn't worked right for a couple of weeks. There's light at the end of the tunnel.
On another note I should have my new teeth soon,my Pat paid for me to get my teeth, they wouldn't make them till they had the money,so thanks to Pat,maybe by next week I will have teeth again.
I have had alot of fun with Facebook.It's kind of addicting. I never thought I would enjoy having a computer so much.

Sad and Glad at the same time.

Tonight at around 8:00 P.M. Jeffs mom passed away. She hasn't been well for a long time, so maybe it's a blessing. We haven't seen her much,for that I feel bad. Jeff says she's in a better place, and she is having a family reunion. She is going to be creamated, and I think Jeffs family is planning a memorial service for her sometime,not this weekend ,but the one after this.Our Daughters Brit and Kimi went to see her last night, so they got to say goodbye to her.We are glad they got to be with her.We had planned to go to Salt Lake tomorrow to say goodbye, and Jeff was going to give her a blessing, but, she went before we could get there. That's what happens when you prograstinate, we should have tried to go earlier. We just haven't had the funds to go, now it's to late.
She was a sweet lady, she got her endowments the same day that me and Jeff got ours.She had a fun laugh,she enjoyed watching t.v. and doing the t.v. guide crossword puzzels. There was a time while we lived in Midvale,that mom,laura,and Denise would come over on Saturdays and do thier wash, and we would visit with them.Mom loved to tell us stories about things her and her husband used to do. Jeffs dad passed away before we were married, so that's how we knew him was by the stories we heard from Jeff's family.
We are happy she has gone home to be with her family, and we know she is having a great time seeing all her loved ones again. We love you, and we'll see you when it's our turn.

Good times

Today and the rest of this week is going to be great.The weather is going to be fantastic.And the boys I watch love to play outside, and I love to be outside,so this will make my week easy.
We've been working out in the yard, we mowed our grass, we are now watering the grass and flowers. Our lilac bushes are getting ready to pop,and they are full of blossoms. I can hardly wait, I love the smell of lilacs. We can go and take our dogs for walks and not have to wear jackets, I'm so happy. Awesome weather helps you feel good!!
My Kimi set me up on face book. This is such a fun site' so much better than My Space. I've had so much fun, I really enjoy writing on peoples wall, it's so cool!!
Yesterday I got to go clean this sweet little old mans house, He's like 90 years old. He's such a nice guy. He had us dust his walls, he took down all the pictures on his walls, then he had us wash his base boards, and clean his kitchen cabinets. He had moved all his furniture to the middle of the room, so we could vacume where his furniture used to be. We washed his windows and blinds,scoured his tub, everything was deep cleaned. When we were done we helped him hang his pictures back up on the walls, and move the furniture back.
His house was so clean, and it wasn't bad to clean in the first place. He asked us to come back in 3 months and do it all again. I don't know how often any body does this kind of cleaning, but I don't think I do it as much as he does.
I read Chelle's blog about some of her favorite things. I'm thinking what are my favorite things.Things this means other than the wonderful husband and family, so things would be my home, we waited till we were in our 50's before we bought our first home. Next would be our cars, that transport us when we need to go some where. I love having my collections all around us. I love having a dishwasher, I hate doing dishes, so this makes my life easier,even though it is loud, we turn it on when we go to bed and let the noice lull us to sleep. And I enjoy this computer that Pat gave us.

He's figured out how to use the doggie door,he got fixed last Monday,and he recovered from that well. He follows me every where I go, when I sit on a chair if he isn't on my lap then he's at my feet resting his head right on my feet. He loves to go for walks, and he loves to tease Dolly.He chases the little boys I watch,he loves to play with them, and he eats nonstop. I love him, he's agood dog.
Jeff has had a week of fixing things, he fixed the pressure reducing valve on the water heater,he had no choice we woke up to a flooded laundry room., then we decided to turn on the water outside so we could water the lawn and turn our water fountain back on. Well he ended up digging up around where we turn the sprinklers on and of,cause it wasn't working right,he wasn't happy. Then our fridge is acting wierd, so he's been trying to figure out what's wrong with it. We are hoping it keeps working till we can afford to have someone come and fix it.
Tonight is the time change and we lose that hour,and it always takes my brain and body a while to adjust, and I'm not looking forward to it. We have already changed all our clocks to the new time.We start church at 9a.m.,so it's going to feel like 8a.m., oh well that's life.
I get to go get the impressions done for my new teeth on Friday, I can hardly wait. It will be so nice to be able to talk to people again.
Kimi set me up on My face page, so it's something new I can look at on the computer. We will see if I can figure it out.I'm not to good at this kind of stuff.
I hope every one is doing well, and just so you crafty people know, I'm not talented enough to do that pay it forward thing, plus I don't have the funds to do that sort of thing now, but I know all you people that are doing it are super people. Last FridayI went to the dentist to have one more tooth pulled---he pulled three. I am so ugly, it's very depressing. I don't go any where. I try not to talk to any one,if I do I keep my head down. I do go for walks with dolly and Jeff, and I go to help clean the building that we clean on Monday nights. The children I watch still like me even though I look bad. So Jeff finally caved in today and agreed to take me to the animal shelter,so I could pick out a dog. I've been missing George, and when we go for walks Jeff walks Dolly and I just tag along.So I picked out a 3 year old yorkie terrier, I've decided to call him "Scooter". He didn't have a name, he was a stray. So we've had him almost 3 hours,and he still can't figure out the doggie door, but he follows me around, and he follows Dolly, she's not sure what to think yet, she used to all the attention, so she has her nose bent out of shape. On Monday he has an appointment at the vet to be fixed and get his shots. Tomorrow he will get a trim and bath, me and Jeff will do that here,we'll see how that goes.I can tell he hasn't been in a house alot, but I think he likes it.
I think next week we will have to do some yard work, the weather is soooo nice and I think we need to turn the water on outside and mow the lawn ,and then start watering the lawn. If this nice weather keeps up, we should be able to turn off the heater, which would be great.
Well tomorrow will be interesting , our home teachers have asked us to go to thier house to play card games( I think they feel bad for us cause we have been such homebodies because of my toothless situation), so we are going to learn a new card game,and hang out with someone other than family,which hasn't happened for about 7 years. They are nice people, pretty close to our age, they've been married 1 year longer than us. It should be fun.

Some memories of mother.

Today is mothers birthday,she would have been 79.So I thought I would write some of the memories I have of her. I remember how I loved to watch her get ready for church when I was a little girl. I would watch her put on her makeup,I thought she looked so pretty when she would put on her lipstick. She would comb her hair,and make pretty waves in the front. I loved to sit next to her at church, I would listen to her sing, she sang good.
She had sooo many talents, it's quite amazing all the things she could do. She used to sew all our clothes. As school was getting ready to start, she would go to sewing, and made all our dresses. Crocheting, knitting,quilting, she could do it all. Painting pictures,any kind of craft,she was good at them all.Musically she could play the piano, guitar, acordian, and some instraments I don't recall the names of. Drawing, writing,doing hair. She could do anything she put her mind to.
She used to draw us paper dolls, and draw the clothes to put on them. Do little girls even play with paper dolls any more? She made barbie doll clothes for our barbies. She loved to play card games, she was so competitive, she would show no mercy, she played to win,her and Terry would play them alot. She watched Lawrence Welk, and loved Norma Zimmer on his show. She watch the soap As the World Turns. When she couldn't sleep at night,she would listen to those talk shows on the radio.She loved to go camping.
I remember Sat. nights all us girls would take our bath's, then she would sit us down in front of her,and curl our hair in those sponge rollers, and then we would get a pair of our undies and put them on our heads over the rollers to help the curlers stay in our hair when we went to bed. All this so we could have pretty hair for church. Mother would do canning, alot of canning, she would do bussels of peaches, or tomato's or what ever was in season. When it would come to baking pies, she would do 16 to 20 pies at a time and freeze them.
There was this one time when I was a senior in high school, and me and mother were driving somewhere, and the car we were in died on 39th south and highland drive.She got out of the car, took off her high heel opened the hood of the car,and banges something in there. she came back to the car and it started, she went back shut the hood of the car, got back in, and away we went. If it would have been me, I don't think I would have been as cool about it as she was. When I was in beauty college, she let me bleach her hair blonde, and let me use her as my model, and I did some strange hairdos on her, she was such a good sport.
I know I was her #1 problem child, and I'm sure I caused her more grief then any of her other children. I love her so much, and miss her daily. I dream about her alot, and I wish I had been a better daughter to her. All that being said...Happy Birthday Mother!

Hi
Well,I've had a strange week. I've been twice to the college to get my teeth cleaned,Wow, what a long time to have your teeth worked on.But my teeth look alot prettier. Now on Friday I go and have more teeth pulled,and get fitted for my flipper. Then I will look like me again. I can go back to church and stay for the whole block, instead of leaving right after the Sacrament meeting. I have stayed home and not gone any where cause I look so bad. So I am looking forward to being able to go places again.
My awesome neighbor Tim has helped us get the internet, he is so good to us.I get to watch his sweet little boy a couple of times each week,he's two and keeps me busy when he's here, I get to take him for walks and play outside with him,he loves popcorn.
Me and Jeff do our daily walks with Dolly, and go to work on Monday nights, Jeff reads alot and I am crocheting, we are home most of the time,and we are doing okay. We have had alot of people look at the trailor, but no one has bought it yet. It has been a rainy week,and I miss the sunshine, but this afternoon it looks like maybe we are in for some sunshine, I love to sit outside and soak in all the sun. I can hardly wait for the new flowers to come up, my tulips are starting to come up through the ground, so cool, I love it.
We miss all of you, we look foreward to seeing Kimi this weekend. Every one take care,bye for now.

1.I love pictures on my walls. They are covered. My honey says he needs to add a room to our house so I have more walls to hang pictures on. I have Picture's that my mother painted, pictures of L.D.S. temples and a picture of Christ in every room of our home, plus pictures of cowboys and Indians, and pictures of all our children and grandchildren. Kitties, and scenery.

2.Camping, I love to go camping,I miss getting to go as often as we used to . It was so much fun when we would take the kids and go every year. There's nithing like being out in the wilderness,and enjoying nature, and watching a roaring fire and roasting marshmellows.

3.I love animals. We have always had lots of animals.All kinds,a turtle(Pats) a rabbit, birds, aquarium s full of fish, dogs, and lots of cats. Cockers was my favorite cat. I still miss her, she had alot of personality, she was beautiful, and so loved. This last year my pom George passed away, I still tear up whenever I think of him. He was the best dog ever!!!Words can't express how much I miss him. Now we have just Dolly left, she's George's daughter, she is soooo cute and so spoiled and very much loved, I think she misses George too.

4.I love to rearange furniture, and do so alot. It's so much fun, I love to do this while Jeff is at work. When he gets home he just shakes his head and laughs at me . He thinks that's how I cure my boredom.

5.I like to crochet, thanks to Raymond for teaching me how, it's fun, I try to make blankets and try new things, but I'm not good at reading instructions. Someone has to show me how to do new stitches. But I do enjoy it.

6.My son Mark says I'm a collector of collections. I collect Kitties, Cowboys and Indians, birds,plates, and pictures . My yard and home have all these collections displayed, I love having these things all around me.

Hi
Well, things are going okay,we are alive. I did have to pull another tooth last Sat. It was one of my top front teeth, so right now I kind of resemble goofy.I am going to the college to have them work on my teeth ,they are going to have to put me under, to clean my teeth, they have to do it twice for three hours each time. Then the dentist is going to make me a flipper for my front teeth, the other tooth next to the one I pulled is broke,so they have to extract that tooth also. All of this will take 6 to 8 weeks ,I'm guessing. at any rate it will be good to have it done.
We are looking forward to Pat and Shane coming to visit and bring us another water heater this weekend, we will have 2 water heaters so we can fill our tub without running out of hot water.
I guess we are in for colder weather this weekend,we need the rain,so we will take it.We are still doing the cleaning the buildings thing, and it is a way to help us earn a little bit of money, and it helps. We hope every one is doing well .Take care till next time.

Just another update

Life is going okay for us. We got to go clean 3 different buildings this week. We work for the same guy that dad and Dockie work for, his name is Kim. He says he will use us when he needs to go out of town or something. We will work every Monday night cleaning the same building that dad and Dockie clean Tuesday through Thursday. I also watch a couple of children for a few hours a week. But every little bit helps.
The weather here has been a little cold,but,all in all, I would rather be here than Salt Lake in the cold and the inversion. We walk Dolly everyday, so that gives us some exercise. We have been cleaning out closets,and trying to figure out what to do with all our junk. We have had a few people call and come look at our trailer, we cleaned the trailer out also, we got it all clean on the inside ,so we could feel good about showing it to people.
We haven't been doing any thing else, Our life is pretty boring, but we are alive and well. We miss the kids and grandkids, we know they are all trying to hang in there, life is a little hard right now. We love you guys,bye for now.

Hi to every one.
We still haven't found jobs, but I do get to watch some children, and that helps out a little bit. Pat is still suppoting us, he is always there and we can't thank him enough for his love and concern.
We took out our pomegranite tree out front, it was sort of a pain, but the front yard looks better we think. Then Jeff cleaned out the shed out back, now he can find things. We take Dolly for a walk daily, and we sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
We went to church today, it was so good to be back in our ward. People are so nice they all welcomed us back ,it was great.
We got a digital reciever from the neighbor next door, so now we can watch the news on 2 different stations, it's really great.
Well that's all thats going on with us, I still enjoy reading the blogs, I get to read them on Sundays, so keep smiling1

Jobless in St. George

So, it's Sunday and dad is letting me use his computer again.We've had a week of job searching, and are still jobless.We are trying but nothing is out there that we can do. I,ve been a few places and filled out applications, but no call backs.So all we can do is just keep trying and hope and pray that something will work out for us.
We got to go with Dad and Dockie on an I.C.L trip ysterday. It was alot of fun, we got to travel Whitney Pockets,somewhere south of Mesquite,it's all on backroads and some of the roads are a little bit rough, but it is fun and we enjoyed the day. Dad and Dockie are so good to try and help keep us entertained.
We have found that if we go out to the trailer and turn on the T.V. out there that we can watch the news on a St. George channel so we can know whats going on in the world. It gets 4 channels out there, we just get the retro channel in the house.
Today we went to Stake Conferance ,and we got a nwe Stake Presidency, the new stake presidency will be super, they are all very good men ,and I'm sure they will do a fantastic job. Stake Conferance started at 10:00 we went at 8:30 to get good seats. It worked we got good seats we were comfortable.

Back in St. George, Yippy!!

We got home at 2:15p.m. on Wednesday December31. We got up early that morning and finished packing our cars, I mean they were full to the brim, and off we traveled, till we got home. It's so much warmer and we absolutely love it. Dolly knew where we were when we got off the freeway, she was so excited, I had a hard time holding her down till we pulled in the drive way.She loves her freedom, and loves to bark at her friends next door. After we got unpacked and got everything put away, it was about 8:00, we watched a movie,(we don't have regular t.v. yet,we won't till April) then we went to bed. At midnight when the fireworks were going off, we rolled over gave each other a kiss,we said happy new year,rolled over and went back to sleep. On Thursday we got our yard work done,mowed and racked leaves, hung up all our chimes again brought out our lawn furniture,and all our fun decorations,so now things are back to the way they were before we left.
On Friday Jeff helped out the Telfords(super neighbors) at thier old house and thier new one,and they paid him, so that helped us. On Monday we go job hunting. When we checked our mail ,we found we had Christmas cards here, and we were reading them, when I came across one from my good friend Margaret Nielson. I worked with her at Research Medical for nine years, she was my lunch buddy ,we both worked in Q.A., she's an awesome person. She wrote that this was a strange Christmas, she just found out she has stomach and liver cancer, and that she is in the late stages of it, she doesn't have long to live. I was so sad, I called her and talked to her, she said she was good with dieing, she had everything all arranged and that she was all organized for once in her life. I told her I loved her,and that she was one of my most favorite people in th world, and that I would miss her. She's only 72, and that seems younger to me, the older I get.But she is the best and she will be so missed. She has about 3 weeks left, hospice and her children are taking care of her.
Last night we watched "The Dark Knight" Shane and Anngee gave Jeff for Christmas, it kept us entertained till bedtime. Today we bathed and clipped Dolly,she looks so much better. It's been fun being able to see Dad and Dockie. On Sunday we get to go with them to Cedar City for Becky's baby's blessing, it will be good to get to be with the Jackson family again, they are so much fun, we are looking forward to it.
Gosh I've rambled on far to much. We miss our Children and grandchildren,especially Shane and Anngee, Brax and Boo. We call them daily and talk to them, we really have enjoyed them and miss not getting to see them every day. Take care, we love you guys!

Well this will be my last blog for a while, We are packing up and getting ready to go home to St.George. It can't come soon enough!! It has snowed here so much this week and Jeff had shoveled many times ,and I think he's ready for good old Dixie too.Our stay at Shane and Anngee's has been good, and they have taken such good care of us and we appriciate all that they have done for us. It's been a blast with Brax and Boo,they are so funny and full of energy,and we have loved the hugs and kisses at night before thier bedtime. Anngee should be able to write a book about the perils of having a mother in law downstairs 24=7. We've enjoyed getting to see all of our children and grandchildren, they are the best. Max and Mark had us come over for dinner on Monday nights, and we've had a variety of tasty dinners, I've got some new recipes now,instead of the good old stand by'e that I always fix. I get a kick out of Jeff Regin and Andrew with thier giggeling fits. And watching t.v. with them, it was always a good time. We got to see Pat more often , it seems he's always coming to our aid in one way or another.We enjoy him especially with his nieces and nephews, he's so cute with them.Dolly isn't sure about Pat yet, she barks at him.I've been able to watch most of the grandchildren at one time or another, I've had fun doing that. Kim asked me to cut her hair, that kind of scared me cause her hair was so long and I didn't want to goof it up, but I guess it turned out okay. Britt and Kim both have jobs now, I'm sure thier life is more hectic now, it was when I had to work plus run a household. We got to see Rochelle and Scott's new baby Ivy,and it looks like things are looking up for them and they can go home now, we are happy for them.
When we get home we won't have the internet for a while, until we get out of the mess we're in, and I'll miss the blogging thing, cause it's really fun to read the blogs and catch up with every one and what they are doing. I have to find a job so who knows what kind of job and how much I'll be working, but we'll see how it goes, then maybe after a few months maybe we can get the internet again. I hope so Pat gave us this awesome computer and I want to get to use it.
So now its good bye to snow and hello to St.George ,back to our home and being able to bug the heck out of Dad and Dockie, and I'm so looking forward to that. Also we miss the ward and all the great people there,so that will be a big plus too. So happy blogging till I can do it again. We love you guys!

It's almost Christmas

Well, Annette says it's time for me to blog,so here we go.It's still white outside and alot more snow is coming,thats okay as long as I don't have to drive in it. I don't like driving it,so I become a homebody when it snows. We are as ready as we'll ever be for Christmas. It's a year that has been tough,so Christmas is a little sparse this year, but I still enjoy the season and what it represents.
Today we went to church at our old ward, the one we went to for 21 years. We decided it was as close to being in our home ward as we could get up here. It was so great to get to see all of our good friends, and watch the wonderful Christmas program they had.
Well as of January 2 or 3 I will be going back to good old St.George, I will try and find a job so I can help us get out of the hole we've dug ourselves into. Hopefully something will pop up. I can hardly wait for Jeff to get to come back, so we can get back to our normal life. Our children have been awesome to us, but I'm sure they would like to get back to thier normal lives also.
Tonight Jeff was watching a t.v. program about Yellowstone, it showed some buffalo's and foxes and Dolly(our little dog) started growling at the t.v. she was going to go get them, I put her closer to the T.v. and when the fox went off the screen,she went to the side of the t.v. to get it,but she couldn't find it. It really had us laughing, she's so cute and keeps us going, we are so attached to our dog,we love her.

So here we are in West Jordan, and today it snowed,it stopped for a little while, but then it started up again tonight.I have never been fond of snow,needless to say it's made me homesick. I don't like driving in it, and besides that, it's cold. Okay most of my children love snow and are excited. Anngee,Brit, and Kimi I know really look forward to the snow, so it made them happy.
Last weekend we went to St.George on Friday night and came back here on Sunday morning, we had to get papers cause Jeff is going on social security starting in Feb. We loved being home. We raked the leaves and mowed the lawns. Today was the day that our ward in St. George did the annual leaf raking party, and dad said after they got all done the winds blew hard and alot more leaves fell, so I guess when I get back to St. George, that will be one of the fun things I'll get to do again. It's still better than shoveling snow!
So Christmas is just around the bend. It's been fun being with family and seeing all the fun decorations they all have.The grandchildren are excited, and that's fun to see also. I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful Christmas carols, and all the pretty lights. Take care till next time.

Just the other day I was thinking how strange is was that we didn't have any of our children expecting. I figured it would probably be a couple of years before we would get another grandchild. Then yesterday I recieved a call that indeed we had another grandchild coming.Can you guess who? It's Ted. He's excited, and a little nervous. We are happy for him. At least now we know he has someone to share holidays with, and he's not alone. Her name is Barbara, and she sounds like an awesome person. We are excited for #17, the due date is July 22.
On another note, I got to go with Rochelle and Scott yesterday , to the hospital. I got to hold little Ivy. She is so cute and precious. I loved it. She looks good, and I can hardly wait for her to get to go home so her cute bigger brothers can hold her, hopefully by Christmas, we'll wait and see.
We will be having our family Chistmas party this weekend. We will take pictures ,and I will have Shane or Anngee help me post the pictures, cause I haven't figured that out yet. But they are good to help me. I hope everyone has a good day. Bye for now.

Well, Thanksgiving was good, every thing went well except for Anngee, she got sick. It was fun getting to see Anngee's parents. They are such nice people. We love it when Pat comes, we don't get to see him as much as we would like, he's a good kid,we're glad he's ours.
Jeff got more work in this week. His work is moving to a new shop, and there's alot of stuff to move, and get up and running, so he got to help a little bit.We are so glad that they let Jeff go back to work there, I think it helped alot the fact that Shane is there, he put in a good word for us.
We went to Leana and Calvin's house yesterday. We called and asked if we could come by and drop off a gift, and they invited us to dinner. We had so much fun, great food, and we laughed alot, Tom and his wife and Tammy and her husband was there also. What fun it is to get to see Leana, and her cute family. We found out she has a blog too, so now we can keep up with each others family. I love the fact that we don't have to write a whole lot of letter's to every one and then mail them off. This is much easier. I remember mother writing letters to grandma Leany and grandma Eyre, I'm just not that good. Thank goodness for technology, even though I'm not good at this computer stuff, I do enjoy reading blogs
Our baby Ivy is doing okay, she has one more operation to get done on the intestines, then maybe after she heals from that surgery ,we can go see her again.Rochelle and Scott just keep plugging along, they are such good troopers.
Anngee and Shane have been decorating for Christmas. Anngee is in the process of painting a scene on her front window, all my daughter's are so good at doing that kind of thing. Anngee is quite the home interior decorater. Her home always looks so cute.

Hi, I guess it's time to update my blog.There's just not alot different going on with us right now. Last Thursday night I was bored and there was nothing I wanted to watch on t.v., so I put up our Christmas tree. It's a small tree,but I like it,and it works for us.Even though we haven't done any Christmas shopping (you need money for that)I still love the season. I love to decorate for it. This year seems how we aren't in my our house I don't get to put up all my fun items we've collected through the years. But I brought 5 manger's, and a Santa and a snowman. I collect mangers I have 21 of them. I love Christmas music so I've been listening to Christmas songs since the day after Halloween.
Today we get to have Max and Marks family over for dinner. Since we've been here in West Jordan, they have had us come to thier house every Monday night for dinner. We decided we would have them come here this week.Shane and Anngee are so nice to let us have kids come and visit us with thier families. They put up with alot from us. They are the best.
I'm still babysitting for Chelle at her inlaws. Her baby is doing pretty good, you need to read her blog to see how things are going for little Ivy, she is real good at explaining that kind of info.
I guess either Tuesday or Wednesday night I will bake pies for Thanksgiving. I'm going to use my roaster oven to bake pies, we'll see how that goes. Nadine said she's done it that way before I hope it works for me.
The colder it gets, the more we miss St. George, we miss our life there. I even think Dolly misses it too. She can run outside and play and do what she wants when she wants,cause she has a doggie door in St George at the house. Here she has to wait for us to take her out. Although she does love playing with Anngee's cat.

I have that "sinking feeling"

As you know we are in Shane and Anngee's basement.Well today Shane and Jeff put in a kitchen sink, I'm so happy,I've been doing dish's in the bathtub all the time since we've been here. I will never take the kitchen sink for granted again. Life is much easier now. Thank you Shane!!!
On another note,I've been having fun watching Rochelle and Scott's boys.They kind of have been having a hard time with the fact that mom and dad take off every day to go be with the baby. But after a while they accept it and we have fun, and go for walks, and read books. Corbin is so smart, he can tell time, and read. Pretty good for a boy who is just turning 4 today. Dex is so much fun, so much of what he does reminds me of Chelle when she was young, I think he looks alot like her also. Corbin is a carbon copy of his dad. They are so cute

Grandchildren are the Best!

We thought it would be so hard being here in West Jordan,cause,we love St. George so much,and we do miss it there. But we are here and the best part about being here is getting to see all our grandchildren. We have the cutest grandchildren ever! We've got to baby sit most of them,except Jeff,Regin and Andrew, but we eat with them once a week, and they are so much fun. They suffer through watching "Danceing with the Stars" with us cause they know we love to watch that program every week. We haven't been around Rochelle's children much, because they live in Boise, but they are here in town for the birth of thier baby , so we get to see her children, her oldest son Corbin finally figured out that I'm grandma,that made me so happy. Dexter is such a sweetie,and we are enjoying getting to be with him more. Then of course ,our lttle Ivy who just arrived last Friday is beautiful. Braxton and little Shayne(boo) are here for us all the time ,we get to see them daily cause we live with them, they come down and visit us and we get kisses and hugs from them daily,we love it. We've been able to see Kimi's children and they just love having grandpa tickle them,and they are growing up too fast,we've been able to babysit them a couple of times. Brits children are doing well also ,I got to babysit them a few times last week, they love grandpa's tickles also , they scream and laugh so hard, Ryan and Rayden are in school, they are getting big to fast also.So this is one of the best advantages to being here.
By the way it's been super getting to see our children and thier spouse's too ,we love you all, and appreciate all of you and all that you have done, and are still doing for us. We are learning to readjust to the cold weather, and we do miss seeing dad and Dockie on a regular basis. But all in all, if we have to be here for work we do have the best family ever to be here with.

Update on our baby Ivy

We went to Primary Childrens Hospital today to see our Ivy. She looks absolutely perfect, you would never know to look at her that she had any problems. Her liver is on the wrong side, she doesn't have a spleen, her intestines work, not the way that most peoples work , but they work,they might have to do surgery on the intestines later down the road, but for now they are fine. She will have her heart surgery the first of next week. She's breathing on her own, and she is so beautiful.

Thanks to all of you and your prayers, please keep praying for her so she can continue to get better.

Rochelle and Scott look good also ,Chelle says Scott has been there for her , he took Chelle in the wheel chair fromUniversity hosp. to Primary Childrens hosp. last night at 10:30 so she could hold thier baby. Its quite a long walk, he stayed there at the hospital last night, he hasn't left her side at all. They are blessed to have each other,a match made in heaven, I'm sure!

Today November 7 2008 we were blessed with our sweet number 16 grandchild. Ivy Maxine Brunson was born at 2:15P.M. she weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. She has dark hair and blue eyes. Rochelle had her naturally, and she is super tired cause she couldn't sleep last night,But all in all things are going good. The Dr's said Ivy is a good candidate for surgery. Her lungs are working well enough for her to have it. They aren't sure when yet, sometime very soon to get her little heart working right. I don't know all the technical terms, for all that she has going on, all I know is she's here and doing well under the circumstances, and I am so happy thankfull and relieved.
Chelle and Scott had awesome priesthood blessing last night, and we know every body has been praying for her,and thankfully Heavenly Father answered our prayers ,and with all the faith and love and support of every one she will be able to overcome all her problems.
I can hardly wait for the call to come and tell us that we can go see her, we have to wait till after her first surgery,but once we get to go we will take pictures and post them.

Getting Started

Okay, this is totally out of my comfort zone but, I'm going to give blogging a try. As all of you know, we(me and Jeff) are staying here at Shane and Angie's home, they have let us take over the basement.(Thank You, Shane and Angie) We will be here for quite a long time. We have it fixed up pretty cozy,and we love hearing the pitter patter of our grandchildrens steps above us.
Patrick came over yesterday and set us up with a computer,the nicest one we've ever had(Thank You Pat).We are blessed with the best children ever,we appreciate every thing that they have all done for us. Any way we are doing the oppisite of what most people do that live in St. George, we are spending the cold winter month's here and going back in the spring when it starts to get warm.I'm not fond of snow at all, and I mhate the cold. But, I do enjoy my sweet husbands company,so, I'm here.
We are having fun seeing all our grandchildren ,and most of our children, we don't get to see our Ted as much as we would like, but, we have got to see Chelle and we don't really get to see her very often sice thier move to Boise. But all in all life is going good. Everybody keep smileing till next time.
